Valley of the Temples Archaeological Area Entrance Ticket

The archaeological park of Agrigento - the largest in the world - spreads over an extensive area. Within its confines rise the magnificent remains of the once powerful Greek colony - walls, necropolises, houses, public buildings, and open sanctuaries. But what attracts millions of visitors every year to this UNESCO World Heritage Site is above all the amazing series of beautiful Doric temples.

Today h 7.45am get ready at meeting point to meet our  driver and departure through the interior of Sicily to reach Agrigento to see the Valley of the Temples: two hours audio-guide independent walking tour on the Valley of the Temples an important Unesco World Heritage site covers the Temple of Hera, the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Hercules and the Temple of Zeus. Agrigento, according to legend, was founded by Daedalus and his son Icarus after they had fled from Crete “by air”. Historically, however, its origins date back to 582 B.C. when it was founded by Rhodian-Cretan colonist from the neighboring Gela who named their city Akragas after the nearby river. It rapidly increased in size, importance and military strength under Phalarides, the first tyrant, and later under Theron, who extended his way over northern Sicily as far as Himera. We then continue to Syracuse (expected arrival time around 5:30 PM, depending on traffic conditions). Please note that if the tour does not reach at least two partecipants it will not be operated.

Agrigento – Valley of the Temples | Private Guided Tour

Agrigento's Valley of the Temples (UNESCO World Heritage) is not just an archaeological park—it is one of the most powerful encounters with the legacy of Magna Graecia anywhere in the Mediterranean. To walk here is to step into a landscape shaped by ambition, beauty, and a vision of eternity.Your private guided visit is designed for travelers who want more than a checklist of monuments. With a licensed local guide, you'll follow a curated route through the valley, reading the temples as living symbols: sacred geometry, political pride, and refined craftsmanship set against open skies and almond trees. The experience can be enriched with time inside the Archaeological Museum, where key finds help complete the story of the valley. For those who want a deeper cultural immersion, we also recommend an optional extension into Agrigento's historic center.TOUR DETAILS:• Duration: up to 3 hours• Group size: 2–15 guests (whisper system available for larger groups)• Start times: 09:30 or 15:30• Meeting point: Agrigento (confirmed after booking)• Languages: English, Italian, and others on requestINCLUDED:✓ Professional licensed guideNOT INCLUDED:✗ Hotel pick-up / drop-off✗ Parking✗ Entrance tickets to the Valley of the Temples and Museum
