Itinerary

Day 1

Meet at the main stairs of the Central Market for a guided tasting walk of the market interior and nearby historic stalls.

Meet & guided tasting walk at Mercado Central de Alicante (10 stops)

19:00 – 21:00 • 2h

Meet your guide outside the central market main façade. Over the next 2 hours you will visit 10 nearby stalls and small tapas counters inside and immediately outside the market, tasting 16 small specialties (cheeses, cured meats, fish, orchard fruit, sweets) and sampling 4 local wines. The guide introduces each vendor, explains product origins and local traditions, and manages ordering and portions so the group can share.

Av. Alfonso El Sabio, 10, 03004 Alicante, Spain

Tips from local experts:

  • Bring photo ID if you plan to sample alcoholic wines (local vendors check ID for legal drinking age).
  • Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for short, level walking inside the market aisles and a few nearby sidewalks; the route is stroller-friendly but expect crowds during peak hours.
  • Tell your guide about dietary needs on arrival — vegetarian options are available and the guide will coordinate suitable samples.
