Itinerary
Day 1
Private 3-hour boat tour around Capri. Meeting point and boarding at Pier 21 (M21) / Marina Grande; the route follows the provided agenda items in order, with an optional stop at the Blue Grotto (visit depends on sea/tide and short on-site boat transfers).
Marina Grande (Pass By)
Meet and board at Pier 21 (M21) in Marina Grande. The tour departs from the port of Marina Grande; crew will brief safety and the planned route before departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start to allow boarding and a short safety briefing; Pier 21 (M21) is the listed meeting point.
- Wear non-slip shoes for boarding; crew will assist with luggage and boarding where needed.
- Keep a small bag with essentials (phone, ID, sunscreen); larger items can be left onshore if preferred.
Blue Grotto (Optional)
If sea and tide conditions allow, the boat will approach the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) and guests may enter via the small rowboat transfers used at the cave. This stop is optional; if the grotto is closed or guests opt out, the captain will use the time for other scenic stops.
Tips from local experts:
- Blue Grotto visits are subject to sea/tide conditions and availability at the cave entrance; follow the crew's guidance about queues and timing.
- If you plan to enter the grotto, bring a small light jacket—inside can be cooler and damp from the water.
- If you choose not to enter the grotto, notify the crew so they can adjust the tour timing for extra swimming or photo time.
Fortini Coastal Walk (Pass By)
Sea passage along the west side of the island with views of the coastal path of the forts (the Sentiero dei Fortini) — a scenic coastal stretch best appreciated from the water.
Tips from local experts:
- This is a pass-by observation from the boat—use this time for photos of coastal cliffs and the fort path.
- Keep cameras and phones secure when leaning over railings for photos; waves and spray are possible close to the cliffs.
- If you prefer shade, move to the sun-protected side of the boat during this passage; the captain may circle for better views.
Green Grotto (South Anacapri) & Caves
Visit the south side near Anacapri to admire coastal caves, with opportunity for a swim in transparent waters where conditions permit.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring swimwear and a towel; beach towels are provided on board but keep valuables dry in a waterproof pouch.
- If you plan to snorkel, the boat provides snorkelling equipment; ask crew for fitting and local safety pointers.
- Follow crew instructions for safe water entry and exit—the captain will position the boat and monitor sea conditions.
Monte Solaro (View from Sea) & Cala Ventroso Swim Stop
Admire the sheer drop of Monte Solaro from the sea and stop at Cala Ventroso (conditions permitting) for a swim in clear waters — a recommended moment for couples to relax and take photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Monte Solaro is visible from the sea; use this stop for a relaxed swim and a quiet photo moment near Cala Ventroso.
- If you want clearer underwater visibility, swim early in the stop before other boats gather.
- Secure any loose jewelry or accessories before swimming; crew can hold small items in a dry area on board.
I Faraglioni (Pass By)
Pass by and admire the iconic Faraglioni rock formations; opportunity for a short photo stop from the boat.
Tips from local experts:
- The Faraglioni are an excellent spot for souvenir photos—ask the captain to pause briefly for a photo stop if safe.
- Stay on deck during the pass for unobstructed views; the crew will indicate the best side for photos.
- If you want a keepsake photo, set your camera to burst mode to capture the perfect moment while the boat circles.
Natural Arch (Pass By)
Sea passage to view the Arco Naturale (Natural Arch) from the east side of the island; scenic photo opportunity from the boat.
Tips from local experts:
- The Arco Naturale is best viewed from the seaward side; position yourself on the open deck for clear photos.
- Waves and spray can be stronger here—keep cameras protected with a small waterproof cover or pouch.
- If the captain suggests a maneuver for a better angle, follow crew safety directions and remain seated when instructed.
White Grotto (Pass By) and Return to Marina Grande
Final sea passage by the White Grotto (also called the Wonderful Grotto) followed by return cruise to the departure pier to conclude the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow time on the return cruise to change into dry clothes and collect belongings; crew will announce the approach to Marina Grande.
- White Grotto views are from the boat; if crew indicates a brief pause, use it for photos before heading back.
- Confirm your preferred disembark location with crew when boarding (some boats use the main Marina Grande pier or nearby designated landing).
