Hotel pickup and depart
Pickup from your hotel or the arrivals hall. Driver will hold a sign with the main traveller's name and assist with boarding a climate-controlled vehicle.
Tips from local experts:
- Be ready in the hotel lobby 5 minutes before pickup; confirm your hotel name on the voucher.
- If arriving by ferry/flight, meet the driver in the arrivals hall—they'll hold a sign with the main traveler's name.
- Keep any necessary ID or small items with you; luggage will be stored in the vehicle for the day.
Akrotiri Archaeological Site (excavations)
Visit the excavations of ancient Akrotiri to see the preserved Bronze Age settlement (external walkways and viewpoints).
Tips from local experts:
- Wear comfortable shoes; paths and walkways at the site are uneven and may be exposed to sun.
- This site is not wheelchair accessible—plan accordingly for guests with mobility needs.
- Bring a light layer; shaded areas are limited and the site can be windy in late afternoon.
Red Beach (photographic stop)
Short visit and photo stop at Red Beach, famous for its red volcanic cliffs and contrast with the sea.
Tips from local experts:
- Access involves a short walk on uneven terrain—not wheelchair accessible and may be slippery in places.
- If you plan to swim, bring water shoes; the beach is pebbly and entry can be rocky.
- Keep an eye on belongings—there are limited facilities at the beach; bottled water is provided on the vehicle.
Perivolos Beach — lunch on black sand
Enjoy a relaxed meal at Perivolos on the island's southeastern black-sand shoreline (time reserved for lunch; meals not included).
Tips from local experts:
- Meals and drinks are excluded—choose a taverna with seafront tables for a relaxed, romantic setting.
- If you want shade, request a shaded table when seated; some beach tavernas have limited covered seating.
- Allow time to walk on the sand; bring a light cover-up for after swimming and sunscreen.
Pyrgos Kallistis (traditional village)
Walk the narrow alleys of Pyrgos, visit 16th-century churches and reach the village's highest point for broad views over the island.
Tips from local experts:
- Cobblestone alleys and steps are common—comfortable footwear recommended for both guests.
- This stop offers several quiet cafes and small shops—ideal for picking a small souvenir or a coffee together.
- There is a panoramic viewpoint at the top—arrange a short extra time if you prefer a slower pace to enjoy the 360º view.
Wine museum tasting (local winery / wine museum)
Visit a local wine museum/winery to learn about Santorini winemaking and enjoy a tasting of traditional island wines.
Tips from local experts:
- Tastings are included as part of this stop—confirm any specific wine preferences or allergies in advance.
- If you prefer a quieter tasting, ask for seating away from the main group; many wineries have terrace seating ideal for couples.
- Bring a light jacket—cellar and tasting areas can be cooler than outside, especially near the coast.
Oia — shopping, strolling and sunset
Arrive in Oia to wander the narrow streets and cave houses, shop local crafts, and watch the famous Santorini sunset from a recommended viewpoint.
Tips from local experts:
- Aim to be at the sunset viewpoint 20–40 minutes before sunset for the best vantage; sunset times vary by month.
- Cobblestone streets and steps are steep in places—choose comfortable shoes and allow extra time moving between viewpoints.
- For a romantic moment, pick a quieter side street or chapel terrace away from the main crowds; ask the driver for a convenient drop-off point.
Return to hotel / drop-off
Transfer back to your hotel or arrival point. Driver will drop guests at the hotel or nearest convenient point.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your preferred drop-off address with the driver at the start of the tour to ensure a timely return.
- If you requested a later return within the voucher note, reconfirm timing with the operator in advance.
- Collect any personal items before leaving the vehicle; check with the driver if you left anything at a stop.
