Itinerary
Day 1
Morning pickup in Antalya and transfer to Pamukkale to begin the day's visits.
Hotel pickup and drive to Pamukkale
We will pick up the guest from hotels and we will drive to Pamukkale.
Tips from local experts:
- Be ready 5–10 minutes before your confirmed pickup window; drivers wait outside hotel security as requested in the booking notes.
- Bring light snacks and water for the drive; there is limited opportunity to stop until Pamukkale.
- Keep passports or ID handy for entrance ticket checks at the site.
Explore Pamukkale & Hierapolis
We will visit Pamukkale: the ancient city of Hierapolis, Cleopatra's Pool, and the travertine terraces.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear slip-on shoes or sandals you can easily remove — walking on the terraces is barefoot-only in most areas and shoes must be carried.
- Sunscreen and a wide-brim hat are recommended; the white terraces reflect sunlight strongly in May (spring).
- Cleopatra's Pool access is optional and usually requires an additional fee at the site; bring a towel and swimsuit only if you plan to join that optional swim.
Lunch in Pamukkale
Lunch at a traditional Turkish restaurant in Pamukkale (included).
Tips from local experts:
- Inform your guide of any dietary restrictions in advance so the restaurant can accommodate them.
- Turkish meals often include shared meze — order a few small dishes to share for a relaxed meal.
- Restrooms are available at most restaurants; use these stops to change footwear or freshen up before continuing.
Drive to and visit Salda Lake
Visit Salda Lake (famous for clear waters and white sandy shore). Short visit and lakeside time included.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a lightweight layer — breezes at the lake can be cooler than Antalya even in spring.
- Stay on marked paths and beaches; some areas are protected and access rules must be followed to preserve the shoreline.
- If you plan on light swimming or wading, bring quick-dry footwear and a small towel; there are limited facilities on-site.
Return transfer to Antalya
After visiting Salda Lake, we will drive back and drop you at your hotel in Antalya.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect to arrive back in Antalya in the early evening; charge phones/cameras during the drive if needed.
- If you want a short stop on the return for refreshments, let the guide know early so timing can be adjusted within the private tour.
- Keep small personal items accessible in your day bag for the final drop-off (wallet, phone, medication).
