Itinerary
Day 1
Meet on Slovenska Obala in central Budva for check-in and safety briefing, then a guided 3.5-hour kayak loop to Sveti Nikola island with beach and cave stops. Return to the meeting point to finish.
Balkan Flow rental point
Meet at the operator's meeting point on Slovenska Obala for check-in, fittings, safety briefing and kayak/SUP distribution. Guide covers paddling technique, safety and planned route.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before start time to complete check-in and get fitted with a lifejacket.
- Wear swimwear under quick-dry clothing and footwear that can get wet; bring a small towel and sunscreen.
- Bring a photo ID (required for check-in) and secure valuables in a waterproof pouch or leave them at your accommodation.
Sveti Nikola island (approach & panorama)
Paddle out from Budva, pass the Old Town walls and continue along the coast to approach Sveti Nikola island. Guide provides local history, natural notes and panoramic photo stops on route.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep a steady, even paddle stroke during the crossing; follow the guide's position to stay in the group.
- Ask the guide for brief historical or ecological notes during quieter paddling stretches — they will point out landmarks like Budva Old Town and Becici.
- Protect your phone/camera in a waterproof case; guide will capture action photos so you can relax during transit.
Hawaii beach (beach stop on Sveti Nikola)
Short beach stop on the quieter side of Sveti Nikola island for swimming, a short walk on shore and rest. This is the main 'beach' stop on the tour with clear water and minimal crowds.
Tips from local experts:
- Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect the local marine environment during swims.
- If you want to walk ashore, keep footwear handy as some shorelines have pebbles; there are no formal changing facilities.
- Collect small items in a dry bag while on the beach — the guide will secure group gear and record photos/videos here.
Sveti Nikola island caves (swims & cliff-jumping)
Explore nearby sea caves and safe cliff-jumping spots under guide supervision. Time for deeper swims, optional beginner jumps, and additional photo/video capture. After activities the group will paddle back to Budva and finish the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Follow the guide's instructions for cliff-jumping — only jump at designated safe spots and after the guide checks water depth.
- If you're not jumping, stay with the group near the shore or in your kayak/SUP; guides will take photos from water and from kayaks.
- Expect a return paddle to Budva after the caves; wipe off sunscreen and rinse gear lightly with sea water before returning.
