Itinerary
Day 1
Pickup, transfer to Edmund Forest Reserve / Millet bird sanctuary, guided hike and birdwatching.
Pickup & birdwatching at Edmund Forest Reserve (Millet bird sanctuary)
We pick you up from your hotel, villa or cruise port and drive to the Edmund Forest Reserve / Millet bird sanctuary. Meet the on-site guide, pay the entrance fee at the sanctuary (entrance fee is excluded), then hike established rainforest trails to look for parrots and other island bird species. After the hike, return to the vehicle for a short rest and complimentary limited drinks before the scenic drive back.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear sturdy walking shoes and lightweight long sleeves; trails are natural with roots and uneven ground.
- Bring binoculars and a small daypack; have a small amount of cash or card available to pay the sanctuary entrance fee on arrival.
- If you are arriving on a cruise, confirm ship name and disembarkation/reboarding times with the supplier at booking so pickup can be timed correctly.
Day 1
Scenic return drive with stops for views of the largest banana plantation, Marigot Bay and Castries; final drop-off at your pickup location.
Scenic return: banana plantation, Marigot Bay & Castries viewpoints, drop-off
After the hike your driver will offer limited complimentary drinks (water, sodas, local beer where permitted) and drive a scenic route back. Short roadside stops will be made for photos and views of the island's largest banana plantation, a viewpoint over Marigot Bay and an overlook of Castries before returning you to your hotel, villa or cruise port.
Tips from local experts:
- Have your camera or phone ready for short roadside photo stops; these stops are brief and may not have facilities.
- Carry a light jacket or sun protection — coastal viewpoints can be breezy and exposed.
- Allow flexibility for traffic and cruise reboarding times; communicate any fixed reboarding deadlines to the driver at pickup.
