Itinerary
Day 1
Pickup in Chengdu and road transfer toward Mount Siguniang area, stopping en route.
Pickup in Chengdu and drive toward Maobiliang
Meet your guide/driver at your Chengdu address (pickup within Chengdu Third Ring Road). Depart Chengdu in a private vehicle toward the Mount Siguniang area. This transfer covers the main driving leg toward Maobiliang observation area.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your exact pickup address in Chengdu (within Third Ring Road) at least 24 hours before departure.
- Bring a light layer and sunglasses; mountain light can be bright even in cool autumn weather.
- Keep identity documents handy — we will use them to book scenic spot tickets on your behalf.
Day 1
Short stop at the Maobiliang observation area for panoramic mountain views and photos.
Maobiliang Observation Deck (photo stop)
Short visit to the Maobiliang observation area to view Mount Gongga / Yaomei Peak panoramas and photograph the high peaks. Time here is primarily for viewpoints and short walks along the platform; there may be limited services.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow time to find a clear viewpoint; mornings can be clearer but weather changes quickly at elevation.
- Use a zoom lens or telephoto on your camera to capture distant peaks; small tripods are useful for low-light shots.
- Carry water and a small snack; facilities at remote viewpoints are limited.
Day 1
Explore Shuangqiao Valley in Mount Siguniang — scenic meadows, peaks and valley viewpoints using the valley sightseeing buses.
Shuangqiao Valley (Mount Siguniang)
Visit Shuangqiao Valley, the most accessible valley in Mount Siguniang. You will use the valley sightseeing buses to move between vantage points; stop at key photo spots, short walks and viewpoints along the route. Guide will advise which stops to prioritise for light and views.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring comfortable walking shoes for short, even paths; the valley sightseeing buses reduce long walking distances.
- Keep a small daypack for water, sunscreen and a light jacket—temperature drops near higher viewpoints.
- Tickets are arranged by the operator; have your ID available if officials request it at ticket booths.
Day 1
Evening meal: enjoy a Tibetan-style hotpot meal in Siguniangshan Town.
Tibetan hotpot dinner
Enjoy a local Tibetan hotpot meal in Siguniangshan Town. This included dinner offers warming regional flavors — an intimate meal suited to couples after a day of sightseeing.
Tips from local experts:
- If you have dietary restrictions, inform the guide in advance so the kitchen can accommodate where possible.
- Dress in layers for dinner — mountain evenings cool quickly after sunset.
- Ask for milder broths or vegetable-forward options if you prefer less spicy food; many local kitchens can adjust.
Day 1
Check in at your arranged hotel in or near Siguniangshan Town and overnight.
Hotel check-in and overnight in Siguniangshan Town
Arrive at the comfortable hotel arranged by the operator. Evening at leisure — relax, enjoy the room and rest for the day 2 departure. Breakfast at the hotel is included the next morning.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your room preferences (bed type, floor) with the guide if you have specific needs.
- Most mountain hotels have limited late-night food options; eat dinner before returning to the hotel if you may be late.
- Charge cameras and devices overnight; power can be limited in mountain towns.
Day 2
Depart hotel and transfer to Bipenggou for a full day of alpine scenery.
Depart hotel and drive to Bipenggou
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Bipenggou Scenic Area in Li County. This transfer moves you from the Mount Siguniang area toward Bipenggou entrance; expect mountain roads and scenic views en route.
Tips from local experts:
- Have your camera ready for roadside views during the drive; there are scenic pull-outs for short stops.
- Motion sickness can occur on mountain roads—sit toward the front of the vehicle if you are prone to discomfort.
- Confirm the exact hotel pickup time with your guide the evening before to ensure a timely departure.
Day 2
Full visit to Bipenggou Scenic Area (Longwanghai, Panyang Lake, Zhuoma Lake and forested valleys). Return to Chengdu after the visit; approximate drop-off in Chengdu in the evening.
Bipenggou Scenic Area visit (Longwanghai, Panyang Lake, Zhuoma Lake)
Explore Bipenggou's alpine lakes, waterfalls, snow-capped peaks and colorful forests. The visit includes stops at notable lakes and viewpoints; time for short walks, photos and relaxing by the water. After sightseeing, the group will return to Chengdu by private vehicle (expected evening drop-off).
Tips from local experts:
- Wear layers and waterproof shoes for short shoreline walks around alpine lakes and possible wet trails.
- Bring snacks and water for mid-day; lunch is not included, so plan accordingly with the guide for a suitable stop.
- Cell coverage can be intermittent in the valley — coordinate meeting times with your guide and note the guide's contact before splits.
