Itinerary
Day 1
Evening tasting: meet at our office, short walk to the tasting room, guided wine & cheese tasting (1h30 total). Finish with an optional short sunset stroll to the Roman Bridge.
Meet at Things to Do Córdoba (Calle Carlos Rubio 11) — group check-in
Gather with your guide and group at the Things to Do Córdoba meeting point. We'll confirm names, explain the tasting flow and walk together a short distance to the tasting room.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in and avoid rushing — the meeting point is a small office on a quiet street.
- If you need step-free access, tell the guide at check-in — the operator notes wheelchair accessibility for this activity.
- Wear comfortable evening layers (October evenings can cool quickly); bring a small camera for candid photos before the tasting starts.
Guided wine & cheese tasting — local wines, vermouth and venencia demo
The core experience: guided tasting of Cordoban fortified, white and red wines paired with four regional cheeses. The host will demonstrate the traditional venencia and explain local pairing tips. Small-group, intimate setting.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask for a window or small table for two when you arrive — the setting is cozy and makes for a more intimate tasting.
- Try the vermouth neat and then with a small splash of soda if you want a lighter, more local aperitif-style sip.
- Pace yourself during the tasting — the host is happy to discuss which wines pair best for a later romantic dinner in Córdoba.
Optional romantic sunset stroll to Puente Romano (Roman Bridge)
A short walk to the Roman Bridge for golden-hour photos and a final toast. The guide can point out the best vantage for shots of the Mezquita-lit skyline as evening falls.
Tips from local experts:
- Time your photos toward the far side of the bridge for classic views of the Mezquita silhouetted against the sky — it’s especially romantic at dusk.
- Bring a light jacket — river breezes at sunset can be cooler even after a warm day in Córdoba.
- If you need curb-free access, head to the north end of the bridge (near Calahorra Tower) where the paving is smoother and ramps are available.
