Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day private shore excursion from your cruise port to key Da Nang sights and a guided walking tour of Hoi An Ancient Town. Pickup at the port entrance; return to port before departure.
Pickup at port and Da Nang highlights: Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe Beach & Marble Mountain — Lunch included
The guide and driver meet you at the port exit and drive along the coast to visit Linh Ung Pagoda (Son Tra), stop for photos at My Khe Beach, and explore Marble Mountain's grottoes and pagodas. Lunch at a local restaurant in Da Nang is included. The schedule allows frequent rest stops and minimal continuous walking to suit senior guests; entrance fees are included.
Tips from local experts:
- Carry a light sun hat and sunscreen — shaded seating can be limited at outdoor viewpoints and beaches.
- Wear comfortable, slip-resistant shoes for short stair sections at Marble Mountain; the guide will offer lower-step routes when possible.
- Keep your cruise ID/embarkation pass handy at pickup and when re‑boarding; store small essentials in a cross‑body bag for easy access.
Hoi An Ancient Town guided walking tour and return to port
After lunch we transfer to Hoi An for a comprehensive walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Ancient Town. The walk covers the Fujian/Phuc Kien Assembly Hall (Fujian Assembly Hall), Tan Ky (Tan Ki) historic house, Phung Hung ancient house, and the Japanese Covered Bridge. The pace is reduced, with frequent stops for seating and shade; after the tour we return to the ship port in time for departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Surfaces in Hoi An’s old quarter include cobbles and low steps; use a cane or walking stick if you usually need extra support and tell the guide so they can route you to gentler paths.
- Carry a small amount of Vietnamese dong for optional snacks or restroom tips; most entrances and the included lunch are covered.
- Plan rest breaks: the guide will schedule shaded seating stops and nearby cafés for shorter legs of the walking tour if you prefer to sit and observe.
