Relaxing guided kayaking tour on Berufjörður fjord from Djúpivogur. Short, easy 3 km paddle with time on the water to enjoy landscape, local history and wildlife (seals, birds, jellyfish; whales are sometimes seen). Total activity time is about 2–2.5 hours with approximately 1.5–2 hours paddling.

Itinerary
Day 1
Full activity as described in the booked experience: meet at the harbour, kit up, safety briefing, guided paddle with wildlife and local commentary, return and pack-down.
Berufjörður experience
Meet your guide next to the Eggin í Gleðivík sculptures in Djúpivogur. You will be fitted with waterproof overalls and safety gear, receive a short safety briefing and paddling introduction, then spend about 1.5–2 hours on the water exploring a ~3 km section of Berufjörður while the guide shares local history and points out wildlife. After returning to shore there will be time to pack up and change.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear warm base layers and sturdy shoes you can get wet; waterproof overalls and gloves are supplied but bring a warm hat for after paddling.
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to allow time for gearing up and a prompt safety briefing; the meeting point is next to the Eggin í Gleðivík seaside sculptures in Djúpivogur.
- If you want photos from the water request them in advance — the supplier notes photos are available on request (book or ask the guide at the meeting point).
