Itinerary
Day 1
Morning desert safari from hotel pickup through red dunes with dune bashing, sandboarding, a short camel ride, 30-minute quad-bike self-drive, photo stops, and hotel drop-off.
Hotel pickup & transfer to the red dunes
We collect guests from hotels, apartments, or residences in Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman and transfer in an air-conditioned 4x4 to the red dunes area. Be ready in the lobby or main entrance 10 minutes before pickup time; driver will contact via phone/WhatsApp if required.
Tips from local experts:
- Be ready in your hotel lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time; the driver will contact you beforehand.
- Carry a photo ID (same used for booking) and any mobility needs information when you meet the driver.
- Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes for the transfer; mornings in February are mild but can be cool before sunrise.
Arrival & safety briefing
On arrival to the desert area the guide provides a safety briefing, distributes required safety equipment, and explains the order and safety rules for dune bashing, quad riding, sandboarding and camel handling.
Tips from local experts:
- Listen to the full safety briefing and ask questions about equipment or controls before your quad session.
- If you have recent injuries, pregnancy, or heart conditions, notify the guide during briefing (these activities are not recommended in such cases).
- Keep personal belongings secured—phones and cameras should be on straps to avoid loss in sand or during activities.
Dune bashing (4x4) - red dunes
Experience a guided morning dune bashing run in an experienced 4x4 vehicle across the red sand dunes. This is a guided activity driven by a professional driver with guest safety as top priority.
Tips from local experts:
- Hold on to handholds during dune runs and keep seatbelts fastened for the full duration of the dune bashing segment.
- Expect brief, rapid climbs and descents—secure loose items and follow the guide’s seating instructions.
- Motion sensitivity is common; take motion-sickness precautions in advance if you are prone to nausea.
Quad Bike (ATV) self-drive (30 minutes)
A supervised 30-minute self-drive quad bike (ATV) session on a designated desert track. Safety equipment provided and an instructor/safety marshal will brief and supervise all riders.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear closed shoes and long trousers for the quad ride; helmets and other protective equipment are provided and must be worn at all times.
- Follow the instructor’s guidance for throttle control and overtaking; riding is on a marked track and marshal instructions are final.
- Bring a valid photo ID and inform the instructor of any driving limitations; if you are unsure about riding, request a short practice run first.
Sandboarding, short camel ride & photo stops
Enjoy sandboarding on a nearby dune, a short camel ride suitable for photos and a chance to capture sunrise and desert landscape photos at recommended viewpoints.
Tips from local experts:
- Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat—the desert sun is strong even in winter mornings.
- Camel rides are short and intended for photos/experience; follow handlers’ instructions when mounting/dismounting.
- Keep camera batteries charged and phones on airplane mode or airplane setting to preserve battery life during extended outdoor use.
Return transfer & hotel drop-off
After the desert program concludes, return transfer to hotels, residences, or agreed drop-off points in Dubai, Sharjah, or Ajman. Drop-off order depends on guest locations and traffic conditions.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect variable drop-off order and timing depending on traffic and guest locations; keep your phone available for driver updates.
- If your accommodation is outside Dubai or at Doha/remote addresses, confirm drop-off details with the guide at the end of the activity.
- Drink the provided bottled water during the activity and refill at drop-off if needed; keep any trash secured for return to the vehicle.
