Batik Weaving – Batubulan Village
Visit a Batubulan / Batik making area to observe traditional canting, wax, and manual cloth-dyeing techniques. Short photo time and demonstration (approx. 30 minutes).
Tips from local experts:
- Wear breathable clothing; workshops can be warm and use wax—avoid loose scarves that could touch hot wax.
- Bring a small extra bag for any textiles you may purchase; many pieces are lightweight but take space.
- This stop involves brief standing and short walks between displays; comfortable shoes are recommended.
Silver smith and Traditional Bali House – Celuk Village
Visit Celuk, the traditional silver-craft village. Observe silversmithing and visit a traditional Balinese house; time allocated ~40 minutes.
Tips from local experts:
- If you wish to photograph inside workshops or homes, ask the guide first—some artisans prefer permission.
- Silver items may be marked by metal type; if sensitive to metals, check before trying on jewelry.
- There are short standing periods and narrow walkways; keep bags close and watch for workshop tools.
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Ubud
Explore Mandala Suci Wenara Wana (Ubud Monkey Forest), the natural habitat of long-tailed macaques. Time allocated ~50 minutes for walking and viewing key temple points.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep cameras and belongings secured—monkeys are curious and may try to grab loose items.
- Avoid direct eye contact and do not feed the monkeys; follow guide instructions near the animals.
- There are public restrooms on site; carry small change and hand sanitizer for use after visiting.
Rice Terrace Field – Tegalalang
Visit the Tegalalang rice terraces for panoramic views and photo opportunities; approximately 45 minutes to walk viewpoints and enjoy the countryside.
Tips from local experts:
- Paths through terraces can be uneven and narrow—wear closed-toe shoes and watch footing.
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen) is recommended; there is limited shaded seating at viewpoints.
- Respect private farmland and pay small local donations at designated viewpoints when requested.
Mt Batur Viewpoint – Kintamani (Lunch break)
Drive to Kintamani for fresh highland air and views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. Time includes a relaxed lunch break with volcano views (lunch not included in tour inclusions).
Tips from local experts:
- Temperatures are cooler in Kintamani—bring a light layer for comfort during the lunch stop.
- Lunch venues at viewpoints vary; if you have dietary restrictions, notify the guide before ordering.
- Altitude is modest (~1,000 m); if anyone is sensitive to altitude-related discomfort, move slowly and stay hydrated.
Coffee and Tea Tasting – Tampaksiring / Manukaya area
Short visit to a local coffee & tea garden for sampling Balinese coffee (including Luwak where available) and herbal teas in a simple garden setting; approximately 30 minutes.
Tips from local experts:
- If you do not consume caffeine, request herbal or decaffeinated options—most gardens offer herbal teas.
- Samples are small—if you plan to buy beans, store them in airtight containers for travel.
- This is a relaxed, outdoor stop—expect some shaded seating but bring insect repellent if sensitive.
Tirta Empul Temple (Tampaksiring)
Visit Tirta Empul Temple, the sacred water temple known for ritual purification. Guests may observe local rituals; entry admission is excluded and any purification participation is at guests' discretion.
Tips from local experts:
- Respect temple dress codes: wear a sarong and sash (often available for rent/loan at the entrance).
- If you plan to enter the water for purification, bring a change of clothes and a small dry bag for valuables.
- The temple area includes steps and wet stone surfaces—walk carefully and use provided pathways.
Spa Treatment & Balinese Massage (2 hours)
End the day with a complimentary 2-hour spa treatment: welcome drink, foot wash, 60-minute Balinese massage, scrubs and body polish, finishing with a flower bath. Spa treatments are for adults only as noted in tour conditions.
Tips from local experts:
- Spa is adult-only; if you have sensitive skin or allergies, inform the spa therapist before treatments begin.
- Arrive with minimal jewellery and make-up; allow time for changing and relaxation before the treatment start.
- The spa includes shared facilities; the package allows up to 2 people per treatment room—confirm preferences with the guide.
