Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day sequence of short stops and main attractions in Soufrière, timed for comfort and efficient transit back to pickup point within the advertised duration.
Pickup — Castries (meet your driver)
Meet your driver in the lobby of your hotel or at the pre-arranged pickup location in Castries. Driver will confirm the day's plan and estimated return time.
Tips from local experts:
- Have your hotel/resort name ready on arrival so the driver can find you quickly in the lobby.
- Carry a small towel and swimsuit under your clothes if you plan to go straight to the mud baths.
- Keep any cruise-ship documents easily accessible if you are meeting from a ship (driver will hold a sign with your name).
Scenic coastal stop — Anse La Raye
Short photo and stretch stop in the fishing village of Anse La Raye to appreciate the coastal views and local character.
Tips from local experts:
- Stay with the vehicle and guide in village centers; traffic can be narrow and busy.
- If you want a quick snack, bring small change — roadside vendors often accept cash only.
- Watch your step on uneven pavements and near the shoreline; wear comfortable shoes.
Village stop — Canaries
A brief stop to take in the Canaries bay and coastal scenery as the route continues toward Soufrière.
Tips from local experts:
- Use this short stop for photos only; avoid leaving valuables unattended in the vehicle.
- If you have motion sensitivity, step out for fresh air — coastal stretches help reduce discomfort.
- Restroom facilities are limited in some village areas; plan accordingly.
Arrival & orientation — Soufriere town
Arrival in the Soufrière area. Short orientation stop to prepare for the park visits and to use facilities if needed.
Tips from local experts:
- Use this time to change into swimwear if you plan to enter the mud baths and bring a dry bag for valuables.
- There are small local shops in Soufrière for additional water or sunscreen top-ups.
- Inform your guide of any mobility concerns so timing and routes can be adjusted.
Mud Bath — Sulphur Springs Park
Visit the drive-in Sulphur Springs Park for the mud baths and geothermal features. Time allotted for washing off and changing afterwards.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring swimwear and a towel; change of clothes recommended for the return trip.
- Rinse stations are available but bring biodegradable soap if you prefer (rinse areas vary).
- The ground can be uneven and warm; wear sandals and follow the park attendant's instructions for safety.
Tet Paul Nature Trail (viewpoint & short hike)
Guided short walk on Tet Paul Nature Trail with sweeping views of the Pitons — includes a relaxed 'special moment' at the viewpoint ideal for couples.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear sturdy shoes for the short uneven trail and bring a light rain layer during unpredictable weather.
- Carry a bottle of water from the provided supply; hydrate before the uphill viewpoint section.
- For a quieter experience, pause at the viewpoint for a 10–15 minute rest—great for photos and a private moment.
Cool Waterfall visit — Toraille Falls
Short visit to a nearby waterfall for photos and a quick freshen-up before departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring quick-dry clothing if you plan to stand near or under the falls; slippery rocks are common.
- There may be a brief local entrance or parking fee collected on-site — have small change ready.
- Lock valuables in the vehicle; if leaving the vehicle, take essential items with you.
Return transfer to pickup location
Comfortable drive back to the original pickup location with a short stop for refreshments (Piton beer included) if time allows.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect coastal traffic on the return; use this time to rest and change into dry clothes if needed.
- If you received bottled water at the start, keep the empty bottle for disposal at the vehicle to reduce litter.
- Confirm your exact drop-off point with the driver at the start to avoid confusion on return.
