Snowshoes are the perfect way to quietly explore the untouched winter landscapes of Iceland, offering a slow and immersive journey through the snowy wilderness of the Westfjords. Easy to use and suitable for beginners, they allow you to move off the beaten path and fully connect with the Arctic environment.Your adventure begins in Ísafjörður. We will visit the arctic fox center and meet a few foxes rehabilitating here. Afterwards we will travel to our snowshoeing spot. From there, we head out on snowshoes into a pristine winter world where mountains, valleys, and coastal scenery create the perfect habitat for Iceland’s elusive Arctic fox. We will travel on private land, where hunting and other human activity are prohibited.As we explore, your guide will share fascinating insights about Arctic fox behavior, local wildlife, and the unique nature of the Westfjords, shaped by glaciers and harsh Arctic conditions. With a bit of luck, we may spot tracks or even glimpse this shy and iconic animal in its natural environment.To complete the experience, we take a break in a remote mountain cabin to enjoy a light lunch with hot coffee or tea, surrounded by silent snowy landscapes — a true encounter with Iceland’s wild side.

We are offering unforgettable wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding and hiking experience for beginners and experienced riders. Experience riding stunning and remote alpine lakes!Curious how it looks under water? Feel free to use our snorkeling gear and take a look!Duration of the trip: 7 hours. We meet up in Isafjordur 09:00. The guide will provide required information and gear for the guests. We pack our gear and lunch in our backpacks. Afterwards, we will jump in our camper van and drive at the beginning of the hike. The hike will be around 1 hour long one way. When reaching the lake your guide will set up towing gear for wakeboarding. We will ride in teams of 2. Your guide will give a lesson on the shore and instructions how to assist each other in the water. Guide will control towing device, observe guests who are riding, give tips for improvement, will assist in the water if needed. If group is bigger then 2 guests, it is a great opportunity for others to hike around this wonderful lake or use your snorkel and mask!Minimum age: 14 years.Wildlife: While hiking we can expect to meet rock ptarmigan, common snipe, whooper swan, several species of geese, golden plover, several species of gulls, arctic tern.Group size: We need a minimum number of 2 participants to operate the tour. Maximum group size is 4.Trip difficulty: Moderate.* Your first-time enjoying water sports and have difficulty standing up on Wakeboard or Water skies? Bolafjall Sky Walk and Syðridalur Lignite Mine. This tour offers a mix of natural beauty, history and a touch of adventure.You'll experience Bolafjall sky walk, enjoy the views of steep cliffs and endless North Atlantic Ocean with Hornstrandir Nature Reserve in the far distance. Also, you will have a chance to learn about a key piece of NATO's monitoring infrastructure located on the mountain. After walking into the sky, we will head for a short hike to explore the old and abandoned lignite mine in Syðridalur. This tour is perfect for those who appreciate dramatic landscapes and historical curiosities.Syðridalur in Bolungarvík is known for an old lignite mine which is situated in the valley. Lignite was mined from the mine in the years of 1917 until 1921 or while and after the first World War. To get into the mine you almost have to crawl, but once you're in the ceiling gets higher and you can stand upright. Scenic walk up to the mine takes around 20-25 minutes on a marked trail.

We’ll take a short hike up the waterfall trail for close-up views of each level, offering amazing photo opportunities and a chance to feel the power of Dynjandi firsthand.Lómfell Mountain Hike From Dynjandi, we’ll continue our journey with a 30-40 minute drive to the trailhead for Lómfell Mountain. This 3.5-hour, out-and-back hike takes you along rocky terrain, rewarding you with stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding fjords and valleys from an elevation of approximately 365 meters (1,200 feet). The climb is moderately challenging, ending with panoramic views of vast beauty of the Westfjords.This tour combines two of Iceland’s must-see natural landmarks and is perfect for those seeking an adventurous day of hiking and sightseeing. Join us for an unforgettable journey through the rugged and remote beauty of the Westfjords!In rare cases where guests are from the same booking (e.g. private groups), the guide may extend the trip to visit nearby hot springs if time allows. Private wakeboarding or waterskiing experience in Westfjords
A wonderful experience for a beginners and intermediate riders. This tour takes you riding beneath stunning mountains on a white sand beach next to a little fishing village called Bolungarvik in Westfjords. This trip is perfect half day activity allowing you to experience the sport in North Atlantic Ocean surrounded by unforgettable views. Our guides will be happy to tell stories of history, folklore and life in a small town close to the arctic circle. We love questions too!Dedicate your day to wakeboarding or waterskiing only. Booking a full day option allows to experience additional spot on the same day or have a long time practicing at the beach.We are happy to present an addon for Summer 2025! We added paddle boards to our gear list and we will be able to offer paddle boarding during this tour. It would look like that: If 3-4 guests would book this tour we would break such a small group in half. One half would wakeboard/waterski, knee board as normal, other could experience paddle boarding in the meantime on their own within linked beach/ocean area. * It is possible to customize your day and choose a paddle boarding option only. In this case we would skip wakeboarding or waterskiing part and would spend longer time paddle boarding while picking up longer route for an activity.Duration of the trip: 4 hours for half day option or 7 hours for full day option. Svalvogar Circle Sightseeing Tour
On this tour we’ll go from Isafjordur to Þingeyri in Dyrafjordur where we will do a short bathroom/sightseeing brake, and then continue our journey onto the jaw dropping rock face road made with a small 70 horsepower Bulldozer called “the teaspoon” driven by the legendary Elis Kjaran and his son Ragnar . Along this winding road we’ll see abandoned farms and a spectacularly scenic mountain range often referred to as the Westfjord Alps.

Experience an evening in a SuperJeep exploring the area near Isafjordur searching for the northern lights. We will drive away from the town lights to areas where it might be possible to see the elusive and spectacular northern lights. Moreover, the westfjords are prime Arctic fox territory, so it would not be surprising to catch a glimpse of one in the beam of our headlights, or hear them howling in the night.Please note that there is no guarantee of a northern lights sighting but we will try our very best for the tour to be a success.

The majestic waterfall Dynjandi
This journey will take us from Isafjordur through two different underground tunnels, across mountains and along beautiful fjords .The thunderous waterfall Dynjandi awaits us in Arnarfjorður fjord. We will stop there for aprox one hour so you can hike up to the base of this majestic waterfall . The waterfall is clearly visible from the parking lot so you don’t need to hike if you don’t want to.On our way back we will stop at Hrafnseyri cafe where you can buy coffee and cakes if you are interested and then drive by the farm Audkula, where there is a large colony of Eider Ducks during the breeding season . Who knows, maybe we will see King Eider in the nesting area. It’s very common to see Humpback whales in the fjord during the summer months.If possible we will drive back across the mountains on either Hrafnseyrarheiði heath road or Álftamýrarheiði heath road that are only passable in the summer months . (if the mountain roads are not passable we will drive through the tunnels both ways)
