Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day guided tour from the Paphos area, including hotel pick-up and drop-off. The schedule below shows realistic visit durations and transfer buffers. Please have your phone switched on at pickup; the coach will be clearly labeled.
St George's Church and Harbour
Begin with a relaxed stroll around St George’s Harbour in Peyia. Short visit to the neighbouring Agios Georgios (St George) church and the waterfront for photos and light coastal history.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear comfortable shoes — cobbles and short steps around the harbour; the church interior can be cool and dim.
- Bring a light layer for the sea breeze; the best photos of the harbour are taken facing the water in the morning light.
- If you prefer quieter photos, head slightly inland from the main quay where fishing boats are moored.
Sterna Winery
Guided visit to the family-run Sterna Winery in Kathikas. See the production areas and enjoy a tasting of local wines including Commandaria, red and rosé wines, plus a sample of Zivania while taking in vineyard views.
Tips from local experts:
- If you prefer non-alcoholic options, notify the guide on boarding so the winery can prepare a water/juice alternative.
- Carry a small jacket — tasting rooms can be cooler than the outside temperature and provide benches for seated tasting.
- Ask for a tasting ‘flight’ to sample smaller amounts of multiple wines; it makes sharing and comparing easier for two people.
Baths of Aphrodite
Visit the legendary Baths of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou area / Neo Chorio). Short walk through the gardens to the natural pools associated with the Aphrodite myth; time for photos and storytelling by your guide.
Tips from local experts:
- Paths include uneven and natural surfaces — wear sturdy, flat shoes and take care near water edges.
- Bring a hat and sunscreen in May — shaded areas are limited in the gardens.
- If you want a quieter moment for photos, walk slightly off the main viewing platform toward the planted garden areas.
Traditional Tavern (Buffet lunch)
A generous traditional Cypriot meze buffet with one drink in a welcoming village/seaside tavern near Polis Chrysochous. Time to relax, taste local dishes, and enjoy a convivial atmosphere.
Tips from local experts:
- If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, tell the guide at pickup so the tavern can prepare suitable options.
- Lunch includes one drink; request water, local wine, or soft drinks at the table if preferred.
- Pacing is relaxed — expect multiple small dishes served together; it's ideal for sharing and trying a variety of flavors.
