Río Celeste & Tenorio Volcano Hike / from Guanacaste
This peculiar color is given by a physical phenomenon that reflects the sunlight through the water and occurs during the joining of two streams that give birth to the river, this place is known as the “Teñideros”. Rio Celeste Rainforest Hike is one of the most beautiful and scenic rivers in Costa Rica, located in the lush rainforests of Tenorio Volcano National Park, undiscovered by mass tourism. The park is home to an incredible biodiversity of flora and fauna, including the tapir, wild cats, monkeys, toucans, and a vast variety of amphibians and reptiles. Once at the park entrance we start the hike through this primary Humid and Rainy Forest, several fauna species and exuberant flora are easily found in this ecosystem. During this 3-hour walk, we visit a magnificent waterfall, the place where the, dies with the light blue coloration, hot water springs (swimming not allowed for park’s administrative rules); fumaroles of volcanic gases, where temperatures up to 1500 °F are expelled from time to time, and the “Borbollones”, where exhaust gases at the base of the river give the appearance of boiling water. This tour is recommended for hikers or anyone who loves the natural outdoors and is the owner of a good or normal physical shape.

Additionally, the quantity of fauna and flora, the panoramic views, and all the residual volcanic activity such as boiling mud pools and fumaroles that you will find as you walk these trails, added to the great knowledge of our tour guides make these tour a very unique hiking experience.The park is a host of over 300 species of birds, and many animals, such as armadillos, peccaries, iguanas, coatis, white-faced, howler, and spider monkeys. After the hike, a deserved lunch is waiting!What could be better after a hike? Well, what about mineral hot springs? These waters have rejuvenating and therapeutic properties due to the minerals treasured for centuries under the earth. The incredible hot springs at Rio Negro are surrounded by thick forest, the crystal clear river flows through 10 rustic pools that capture the streaming mineral-rich water. You access pools (of varying temperatures) on both sides of the river by two hanging bridges. Heated volcanic clay is available to smooth all over like a “spa body masque.” After it dries, wash it off with a cool shower or jump in the river before soaking it again in the hot pools. Give your body the health and relaxation it deserves.
Full adventure day in the mountains-Buena Vista Del Rincón
This tour starts at 6:30 in the morning when we pick you up at the place of your choice. We drive 2 hours more or less to get to Buena Vista Del Rincon.Once in Buena Vista, we start the morning with the zipline that takes us through the trees of the forest with incredible views of the mountains of the Guanacaste range, followed by horseback riding in which we travel a bit of the forest in transition that the Rincon De La Vieja Volcano offers us, after riding a horse we enjoy a cultural experience where we are offered an explanation of the sugar cane process, coffee and some typical Costa Rican foods, as the last adventure activity we launch into the biggest slide in Costa Rica, in which you will go so fast that you will not realize it when you reached the end; We finish the adventure activities with a delicious lunch.
