Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at the designated roadside meeting point in Likoporia, kit up, hike into Agios Loukas Gorge, complete the canyon descent and return to the meeting point.
Canyoning in Agios Loukas
Meet at the roadside meeting point in Likoporia. Guides fit canyoning equipment (helmet, harness, wetsuit) and lead a short safety briefing. Hike ~30 minutes to the canyon entrance. The canyon is approximately 1.5 km long and includes five small abseils and several natural pools; the canyon descent takes about 3 hours including swims and short slides. After exiting the canyon, return to the meeting point where the activity concludes.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear closed-toe sport shoes that can get wet (trainers or approach shoes). Bring a change of clothes and a towel — shoes will get wet and muddy.
- Bring a small dry bag or leave valuables locked in your vehicle; guides will provide helmets, harnesses and wetsuits but personal electronics are not covered.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled meet time; the guide will normally contact participants the day before with final meeting details — ensure your phone is reachable.
