Itinerary
Day 1
Evening multicultural walk for couples: meeting at Praça Martim Moniz, stroll through Mouraria with tastings, hilltop sunset at Senhora do Monte, and dinner + live music at Chapito.
Meet your guide — Hotel Mundial (Praça Martim Moniz)
Quick meet-and-greet at the Hotel Mundial (near the Martim Moniz square). Your guide will confirm the route, check dietary notes, and hand out a small map and water-bottle sticker.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early to secure seating at the hotel café if you want a quiet pre-tour drink together.
- Praça Martim Moniz has a small elevator access on some sidewalks — ask your guide for the easiest step-free route if needed.
- If you’re carrying a jacket, leave heavier layers in a small bag — we’ll be moving soon and it can get breezy after sunset.
Stroll through Mouraria — street art, history & hidden corners
A guided, slow-paced walk around Mouraria’s labyrinthine lanes. Your storyteller-guide will share migration stories, point out murals and hidden courtyards, and stop for the first small tasting (savory street bite). Expect cobbled streets and some short stair sections.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear comfortable shoes — some cobbles and short staircases are unavoidable; consider holding hands and taking photos on the quieter side alleys.
- Ask your guide about the mural artists — many are local and their instagram handles are worth following for a romantic post-tour memory.
- If you prefer a gentler route between alleys, tell the guide early — they can avoid the steepest flights of stairs and still show the best murals.
Evening street-food tastings near Intendente (2 small tastings + drink)
Two carefully chosen local tastings (examples: a Portuguese snack with fusion flavours and an African-Portuguese bite) plus one included drink (local wine, beer, or non-alcoholic). Portions are tasting-sized so you’ll still have appetite for dinner.
Tips from local experts:
- Share the tastings — it’s a great way to try more flavors together and creates a small, intimate tasting ritual.
- If either of you has dietary restrictions, remind the guide at the meeting point — they’ll swap tastings to suit you.
- Carry napkins and hand-sanitiser (guide will have extras), and pick a bench or quiet corner to savour each bite together.
Walk up to Graça / Miradouro da Senhora do Monte for golden hour
A steady, scenic climb toward Graça’s hilltop viewpoint. Arrive in time for golden hour / sunset views across the city — a signature romantic moment for couples in Lisbon.
Tips from local experts:
- Hold hands on the final stair approach — great photo opportunity with the city as your backdrop.
- Bring a light layer — the hilltop breeze can feel cooler than the lower streets once the sun goes down.
- Ask the guide to point out a quiet alcove for a short, private moment and a panoramic photo of the two of you.
Short walk to Chapito — settle in for dinner and live music
A short walk from the viewpoint to Chapito, the cultural association and restaurant that supports local social projects. Tonight you’ll dine à la Chapito's intimate setting and enjoy their live music program (samba/world-beats when available).
Tips from local experts:
- Chapito has a cozy atmosphere — request a window/terrace table if you want a table with a view of the castle and city lights.
- Chapito supports social programmes — ordering dessert or a drink helps sustain the venue’s work with local communities.
- Live sets can be energetic — if you prefer quieter seating, ask for a table slightly away from the stage when the guide reserves places.
Optional nightcap / linger at Chapito or nearby miradouro
After the plated dinner and music, linger for an optional drink or a short walk to a nearby viewpoint to see Lisbon’s nightscape. Your guide will help find a quiet spot if you want to extend the evening.
Tips from local experts:
- If you want extra privacy, ask for a small pour of port or local fortified wine — it’s a cozy nightcap option.
- Public transit is available back toward central Lisbon; if you prefer, the guide can call a taxi for a door-to-door drop.
- Take a slow final walk to the nearest lit viewpoint for a private cityscape selfie — the lights look magical from Chapito’s surroundings.
