Itinerary
Day 1
Full-day private speedboat tour departing from Makarska, visiting Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) on Brač, Zečevo islet, Vrboska, Jelsa and Mala Stiniva before returning to Makarska.
Panoramic cruise and beach time at Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn), Bol (Brač)
Tour starts with boarding in Makarska and a panoramic ~50-minute cruise to Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) on Brač. At Zlatni Rat you have free time to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. Skipper will drop you at the small pier and rejoin you when ready to depart.
Tips from local experts:
- Zlatni Rat is a pebble beach — bring reef shoes or water shoes for comfort when entering the water.
- Skipper will tie up at the small pier on Zlatni Rat; confirm the exact pick-up pier with the crew before disembarking.
- Sun protection is essential (hat, reef-safe sunscreen); bottled water is provided but carry a light beach towel.
Snorkelling and relaxation at Zečevo islet
Short cruise (10–15 minutes from Zlatni Rat) to Zečevo islet for snorkelling in protected, clear waters. Zečevo is unpopulated and noted for its natural setting; there is a small beach bar if you want a drink.
Tips from local experts:
- Snorkelling equipment is included — bring your own mask if you prefer a personal fit; a towel and change of clothes are useful.
- There may be a small beach bar on Zečevo; carry a small amount of local currency as remote bars sometimes prefer cash.
- Keep personal items secured on board while swimming; mark where the boat is anchored and agree a pick-up time with the skipper.
Lunch and stroll in Vrboska (Hvar)
Head to Vrboska, a tranquil village on Hvar known as "Little Venice" for its narrow fjord-like bay and small connecting bridges. Time allocated for lunch (not included) and a relaxed walk through the village’s streets.
Tips from local experts:
- Lunch is not included — ask the skipper for a recommended waterfront restaurant in Vrboska and confirm seating for your group.
- Streets in Vrboska are narrow and cobbled; wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for short, shallow steps near the water.
- If you want a quieter table, aim to eat earlier in the lunch window; card payments are commonly accepted but small shops may prefer cash.
Coffee and short sightseeing in Jelsa
After lunch, a short cruise to Jelsa allows time for coffee and light sightseeing of this historic town with monuments reflecting its long history.
Tips from local experts:
- Waterfront cafés in Jelsa are ideal for people-watching — let the skipper know your preferred return time so the boat waits in a nearby mooring.
- The main sights are close to the harbor and suitable for a short, relaxed walk; bring sunglasses and a hat for sun protection at outdoor cafés.
- If you plan to visit a church or museum, check opening times in advance as some may close for mid-day.
Mala Stiniva bay — cliffs and clear water
Visit Mala Stiniva bay on Hvar: a picturesque stone bay with vertical cliffs and clear sea. It's a dramatic spot popular for swimming and cliff-jumping; the skipper will advise on safe access and swimming areas.
Tips from local experts:
- Cliff areas can be steep and slippery — follow skipper guidance and only attempt jumps if you are experienced and the skipper confirms it's safe.
- There are no facilities at the bay — bring water, a towel and any personal items you need; avoid leaving valuables unattended.
- Wear water shoes for rocky entries and exits; if you plan to swim, check conditions with the skipper before entering the water.
Panoramic return cruise to Makarska harbour
Finishing the day with a panoramic cruise back to Makarska harbour — relax and enjoy coastal views as the skipper navigates along the Makarska Riviera.
Tips from local experts:
- Late-afternoon sea breeze can be cool — bring a light layer or windbreaker for the return trip.
- Charge cameras and phones before boarding for sunset photos on the way back; ask the skipper for recommended viewpoints.
- Confirm your disembark location in Makarska with the crew; if you requested a pick-up at a local marina, reconfirm timing with the operator.
