Itinerary
Day 1
Late-afternoon / sunset private boat experience from Marina Grande — itinerary follows skipper’s best route depending on sea and crowds. Total duration 3 hours.
Meet your skipper — Waves of Capri meeting point (Marina Grande)
Arrive at the port entrance next to the security booth (guardian’s cabin). The skipper will message on WhatsApp and meet you at the gatehouse before boarding.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive ~10 minutes early and message Enzo on WhatsApp (+39 347 342 5557) so he can spot you easily
- Port pavement can be uneven — wear comfortable shoes for the short walk to the gatehouse
- Bring a lightweight sweater — the sea breeze cools quickly after sunset
Boarding & skipper briefing on the classic gozzo
Welcome aboard: towels, drinks and snorkeling mask provided. Short safety briefing and plan review — then cast off toward Capri’s south and west coast for the golden hour.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep cameras and phones charged — the skipper will position the boat for the best light during golden hour
- If you want a romantic playlist, tell the skipper before departure so he can set the mood
- Wear your swimsuit under light clothes so you’re ready for the swim stop without time lost
Faraglioni photostop — sail close for iconic views
Slow cruise around the three Faraglioni stacks for photos and marine life spotting — the skipper will position the boat for the most flattering light for couples’ photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Best seat for photos: bow-right — the light hits faces beautifully as the sun lowers
- Ask the skipper for a quick posed photo — he knows the angle that frames the stacks perfectly
- If you want privacy, request the skipper to drift slightly off the busiest side to avoid larger tour boats
Special moment — Aperitif & toast between the Faraglioni
A short, intimate aperitif aboard (sparkling or soft drinks included). Raise a glass with the stacks as your backdrop — ideal romantic moment during sunset cruise.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a small bottle of your favorite wine if you prefer — onboard POS may charge extra and cash is preferred
- For proposals or surprise photos, tell the skipper discreetly — he can time the toast and take pictures
- Keep jewelry safe during toasts; a small non-slip tray is used but the sea can rock gently
Punta Carena lighthouse pass — dramatic cliff & lighthouse views
Sail along Capri’s southwest coast to view the historic Faro di Punta Carena from the water — the largest lighthouse on Capri with striking coastal scenery.
Tips from local experts:
- The lighthouse looks best from the seaward side — ask skipper to slowly pass for uninterrupted photos
- Evening light brings warm tones on the cliffs; keep your camera ready for silhouette portraits
- Winds are often stronger here — if you’re sensitive to spray sit slightly back under the awning
Grotta Verde (Green Grotto) — view from the boat
Approach the Green Grotto and admire the emerald light reflected in the water. The skipper will keep a respectful and safe distance while explaining the grotto’s local legends.
Tips from local experts:
- The grotto looks best on the shady side — the skipper will angle the boat for the saturated green color
- This is a viewing stop only in many conditions — don’t expect guaranteed entry like some paid cave tours
- For intimate photos, stand on the bow-left where the water’s color contrasts with the cliffs
Attempt Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra) approach — entrance not guaranteed
Skipper will check the Blue Grotto’s daily opening and queues. If conditions and access allow, small rowing boats enter the cave (entrance €14 per person, cash). Otherwise you'll view the cave mouth from the gozzo and hear its story from the skipper.
Tips from local experts:
- Blue Grotto entry requires an additional €14 per person in cash and depends on tide and queues — have small bills ready
- If you wish to attempt entry, tell the skipper early; the crew will coordinate the short tender and rowboat transfer
- Even if entry isn’t possible, the approach at sunset yields beautiful soft-blue contrasts for photos
Marina Piccola — swim, snorkel & relax near the stacks
Anchor in a quiet cove near Marina Piccola for a swim and short snorkel. Towels, masks and floating noodles provided — 25–30 minutes to refresh and enjoy the clear water.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a waterproof phone pouch for underwater selfies and to capture snorkel moments
- Evening water is cooler — bring a light towel wrap or dry robe for after the swim
- If you prefer privacy, ask the skipper to drop anchor on the less crowded side away from the main beach
Punta del Capo (the Scugnizzo rock) — quick photo & farewell view
Short pass by Punta del Capo with the Scugnizzo statue rock — traditional Capri welcome figure — final photo opportunity as daylight fades.
Tips from local experts:
- The small statue makes a charming silhouette as lights begin to come on — perfect for couple portraits
- Ask the skipper to circle slowly so you can capture both cliff-top villas and sea-level perspective
- As the light drops, increase ISO slightly for crisp photos without flash to preserve mood
Return to Marina Grande — gentle disembark and warm send-off
Cruise back to the port entrance, disembark at the gatehouse where the skipper will help with step-down and luggage. A wrap-up and tipping (optional) moment to thank your skipper.
Tips from local experts:
- Have small change ready if you’d like to tip — cash is appreciated by the skipper
- Step down carefully onto the dock; crew will assist due to evening light and possible swell
- Consider a quiet seaside dinner in Capri town after disembark for a romantic end to the evening — the skipper can recommend places
