Itinerary
Day 1
Meet for pickup in Lombok early morning. Full-day speedboat/snorkel itinerary visiting Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan in the order shown. Lunch and relaxation time on Gili Trawangan before return to Lombok.
Gili Air — Fish Garden (snorkel)
Begin with a boat transfer from Lombok to Gili Air and snorkel at the Fish Garden spot near Gili Air where you can expect colorful reef fish and typical shallow coral formations. Activity includes guided snorkeling from the boat; time accounts for boat transfer arrival and safety briefing.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear reef‑safe sunscreen and a quick‑dry top; apply before boarding to avoid disturbing the reef.
- Bring a waterproof pouch for your phone and a towel — lockers are not guaranteed on small boats.
- Listen to the crew's safety briefing and use a flotation aid if you're not a strong swimmer.
Gili Meno — Turtle Point (snorkel)
Short boat transfer to Gili Meno to snorkel at an area known locally as Turtle Point. Guided snorkel with attention to observing turtles at a respectful distance.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep a safe distance from turtles and do not attempt to touch or chase them; the guide will show where to hover.
- Secure loose items and use a mask strap — currents between islands can move gear quickly.
- If prone to seasickness, take medication or use wristbands before the short transfer to Gili Meno.
Gili Meno — Coral Spot (snorkel)
Continue snorkeling at a coral-rich area off Gili Meno to see varied hard and soft corals and reef fish. Short guided session focusing on shallow reef formations.
Tips from local experts:
- Enter and exit the water only where the crew indicates to protect corals and for your safety.
- Rinse and stow your mask between sessions so it stays clear; ask the crew for fresh water to rinse.
- Wear fins for easier swimming over coral and to conserve energy while snorkeling small drift sections.
Gili Meno — Statue Ring Point (snorkel)
Short snorkel stop at a shallower 'statue' or ring area around Gili Meno where the boat anchors for a final Meno snorkel before heading to Gili Trawangan.
Tips from local experts:
- Watch your feet during shallow sections — some areas have rubble or low coral heads.
- If you want underwater photos, ask the crew for a brief guide on lighting and composition in shallow water.
- Bring a small snack or drink from the boat between snorkel stops to keep energy up.
Gili Trawangan — Vespa Underwater Point (snorkel)
Snorkel at the Vespa Underwater point near Gili Trawangan — a shallow wreck/underwater feature area noted locally. Includes boat anchoring, short guided snorkel and time to return to shore afterward.
Tips from local experts:
- Remove jewelry and watches before entering the water—these can snag on reef or wreck features.
- Ask the guide for the safest approach path to the submerged feature; currents can vary around wrecks.
- Keep a small float or buddy with you when photographing wreck features to avoid drifting.
Gili Trawangan — Lunch & Relax
Land on Gili Trawangan for lunch, free time to relax, walk the shoreline or explore the main area on foot. This block includes time for disembarkation, lunch at a local beachfront warung or restaurant (operator provides lunch), and return boarding for the trip back to Lombok.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring small change (cash) for souvenirs, additional drinks, or island vendors; some small vendors are cash-only.
- If you prefer shade or quieter seating, request a shaded table when you arrive — beachfront tables fill quickly.
- Confirm the pickup point and boarding time with the crew at the end of your lunch so you don’t miss the return transfer.
