Itinerary
Day 1
Private pickup and 4-hour loop: Paleokastritsa (beach, monastery, optional short boat to caves) followed by free time in Old Corfu Town / Liston.
Paleokastritsa Beach & Monastery
Visit the famous Paleokastritsa bay. Time here is for swimming, photos, a short optional boat trip to the sea caves (optional) and a visit to the hilltop Monastery of Paleokastritsa. The visit includes walking between beach and the monastery viewpoint; some steps are required to reach the monastery.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a towel and swimwear if you plan to swim; there may be limited shaded spots on the small beach.
- The short boat trips to the caves are optional and run locally from the beach area — bring small change if you wish to join (this tour does not include the boat fee).
- Wear comfortable shoes for the monastery viewpoint; there are steps to access the monastery and terraces with panoramic views.
Old Corfu Town — Free time (Liston & narrow streets)
Arrive in Corfu Town for unstructured time to explore the Old Town. Recommended options: walk along the Liston colonnade, visit the Spianada (main square), enjoy a coffee or meal at a local café, or browse narrow pedestrian lanes. This block is unscheduled free time within the private tour window.
Tips from local experts:
- If you want a quieter table for two, try a café on Liston Street away from the main colonnade; many cafés reserve seating but accept walk-ins at midday.
- Watch for uneven cobblestones in the Old Town—choose low-heeled shoes for comfort during the walk.
- If you plan to visit a small church or museum, keep identification handy and check opening hours; this tour provides time on-site but not guided entry to museums.
