Day 1

Guided olive grove visit & oil tasting
Meet at the family estate for a guided tour of the olive groves, production equipment and cellar. The host explains the organic cultivation and milling steps used to create their extra virgin olive oil. The visit ends with an in-depth tasting of the oils produced and practical guidance to help guests evaluate and choose olive oil responsibly.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to Podere Cavozzoli (Via Porta di Borgo 53) so the group can start on time; Montecatini Alto is reachable by the Montecatini funicular or by a short drive from Montecatini Terme.
- Wear sturdy, closed shoes and layered clothing—olive grove paths are uneven and can be dusty or shaded. The visit is not suitable for strollers; bring a baby carrier if needed.
- During the tasting, cleanse your palate with still water or plain bread between samples. Late-afternoon sessions offer warm, photo-friendly light over the hills—bring a small camera if you wish to photograph the landscape.
