Itinerary

Day 1

2-hour studio workshop. Choose from available start times (10:00, 13:00, 15:00) when booking; below is a sample 10:00 session with timings and practical tips.

Kintsugi Workshop at Urushi Studio Kodemari

10:00 – 12:00 • 2h

Meet at the studio for a 2-hour guided Kintsugi experience. The instructor explains the cultural background and demonstrates the repair technique; participants then practice and complete their own repaired piece to take home.

Tips from local experts:

  • Arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start to settle in and choose the object or fragment you will work on.
  • Wear clothing you don’t mind getting light lacquer on; if you prefer, bring a small tote or padded bag for your finished piece.
