Itinerary
Day 1
Guided Falling Leaves Gravel Camp (Tuesday–Thursday). Daily options: long route ~100–120km with ~1,200 m elevation per day (≈80% gravel), or medium route 55–70km point-to-point. Fully supported: feed stops, mechanical support, support vehicle and luggage transfers. Group size limited to 25.
Falling Leaves Gravel Camp — guided training days (Tue–Thu)
Three consecutive guided gravel days starting in Lahti. Riders choose daily between long (100–120km) or medium (55–70km) routes. Social pace with regular food/drink stops, on-route mechanical support and a follow vehicle for luggage and emergencies. Camp requires good cycling fitness and comfort on long gravel rides.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring at least two spare inner tubes (or tubeless repair kit), a multi-tool, and a compact pump or CO2 — mechanical support is available but immediate repairs reduce downtime.
- Dress in layers for October weather (base + windproof jacket); expect cool mornings and variable conditions on exposed gravel ridgelines.
- Load a phone with offline GPX maps or carry a printed cue sheet; ensure your device is charged and bring a small power bank for multi-day navigation.
Day 2
Falling Leaves Lahti event weekend based at Pajulahti Sports Institute (Friday–Sunday). Friday: optional warmup ride, sauna and warmup social. Saturday: UCI Gravel World Series qualifier distances (100km & 175km options). Sunday: Nordic Gravel Series distances (50km, 80km, 145km). Post-ride food, saunas, bike wash and event party included.
Falling Leaves Lahti Cycling Event Weekend — Pajulahti (Fri–Sun)
Event weekend hosted from Pajulahti Sports Institute. Includes Friday warmup ride and sauna, Saturday UCI qualifier routes (100km/175km), Sunday NGS classification rides (50km/80km/145km), post-ride buffet, Saturday event party and late-night BBQ. Accommodation, dinner (Tue–Sun), bike storage inside room and access to bike servicing point are provided per the package.
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm your event registration and chosen race distance before arrival; bring your start confirmation and race paperwork to the event registration desk at Pajulahti.
- Pack a small towel and change of clothes for the sauna and lake swim; saunas run after Friday and Saturday rides and tend to be busy—arrive early to secure space.
- Use the provided bike storage inside rooms where possible and rinse bikes at the bike wash after each day; professional bike service is available on Friday and Saturday—label your bike if leaving it for service.
