Day 1
Pickup in Montego Bay, enjoy Seven Mile Beach time, then finish at Rick's Cafe for sunset before returning to Montego Bay.
Relax at Seven Mile Beach (Negril)
Relax and enjoy a sunny day at the beach while being able to participate in motorised and non-motorised water sport. Family-friendly beach time with restrooms and shallow water areas suitable for children.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen, hats, and a change of clothes — strong sun and sand are typical; shaded beach areas are limited in spots.
- Bring small local cash for beach chair/umbrella rental and for quick snacks — not every vendor will accept cards.
- If travelling with young children, bring a lightweight pop-up shade or big towel and a flotation aid; confirm life jacket availability with any motorised water-sports operator before boarding.
Rick's Cafe — sunset and cliff-jump viewing
End the day with a wonderful view of the sunset and/or watch (or safely observe) cliff jumping at the famous Rick's Cafe on Negril's West End. Staffed areas have viewing platforms and places to sit; cliff jumping may have age/height or safety restrictions — observe posted rules and staff direction.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a light jacket for the West End breeze and wear non-slip shoes on the rocky viewing areas; surfaces can be wet from ocean spray.
- Children should remain in supervised seating areas; cliff edges are uneven — keep strollers and young kids well back from cliff edges.
- Cliff jumping involves risk and local rules; if a child is interested, confirm minimum age/height and flotation requirements with onsite staff — do not allow jumping without proper supervision.
