Itinerary
Day 1
Start from your pickup point and head to the ATV ranch for briefing and the start of the rally. The guide leads the caravan through rural roads toward the farm.
Pickup, transfer to ATV ranch & safety briefing
Round-trip transportation from the pickup point to the ATV ranch, group gathering, and a health & safety briefing before departure. After the briefing the guide leads the ATV caravan onto the first off-road section toward the organic farm.
Tips from local experts:
- Pickup details are confirmed 24–48 hours before the excursion — keep your phone available for the operator's message.
- Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dusty; a light long-sleeve layer helps against sun and brush.
- Bring any essential medical info or allergy notes to share with the guide before the briefing.
Organic farm visit & local tastings
On-site at a local organic farm: taste and learn about Dominican products such as coffee, green tea, chocolate, mamajuana, and cigars. The guide times the stop to allow the group to sample and ask questions before continuing the rally.
Tips from local experts:
- Tastings are included — if anyone in your group has food allergies or dietary restrictions, tell the guide before samples are offered.
- Carry a small reusable bottle for water; tasting samples are small and quick, and you may want water between samples.
- Keep your phone or camera handy for short photo opportunities, but secure devices while mounting/dismounting the ATVs.
Water cave stop (swim/jump)
Ride the ATVs through tropical countryside to a freshwater water cave approximately 25 ft deep. Swimmers can jump in and cool off while others enjoy the scenery; the guide manages safety and time for the group visit.
Tips from local experts:
- The cave contains deep water and brief swims/jumps — if you prefer not to swim, remain on the edge and follow the guide's instructions.
- Bring a waterproof phone pouch or leave electronics on the ATV while swimming; quick-dry clothing or a change of clothes is helpful.
- If you need a flotation aid or are a weak swimmer, tell the guide before the stop so they can advise; life jackets may not be guaranteed for all participants.
Playa Macao (Macao Beach) visit & return
Continue the ATV rally to Playa Macao where the group has time to relax on the sand and enjoy the coastal scenery framed by limestone cliffs. After the beach stop the tour returns to the ATV ranch and then transfers back to the original pickup location.
Tips from local experts:
- Towels and sunscreen are not provided — bring your own sunscreen and a towel if you plan to swim or sunbathe.
- Macao has open sandy areas and natural cliffs; obey the guide about safe swimming areas and group meeting times to ensure timely return.
- Plan for sandy footwear and a spare change of clothes for the return transfer; store valuables in a waterproof bag during the beach stop.

Why this experience
You'll ride a single-seat ATV through rural trails in Punta Cana, handling your own vehicle and feeling in control of the experience. The ATV gives you more stability and precision than a buggy, making it ideal if you want to ride rather than be driven. Your guide leads the way, setting a pace that's exhilarating but manageable, taking you through backcountry terrain where few tourists venture.
Your first major stop is a water cave—a cenote or cave system with an underground pool where you can swim and explore. The sensation of swimming inside a cave, surrounded by stone and mineral-rich water, is surreal and memorable. You emerge refreshed and energized, ready for the next leg.
Then your ATV takes you to Playa Macao, the undeveloped Atlantic beach where you have time to walk, explore tide pools, swim in the ocean, or simply sit and watch the waves. Your final stop is a local plantation or tasting area where you sample Dominican flavors—coffee, chocolate, local spices—tying the physical adventure to the cultural experience. Your guide handles logistics; you handle the ride.
