Itinerary
Day 1
Meet, check-in and depart from Riyadh. Group briefing, safety check and short transfer to the Bin Rasheed cave area.
Meet & Briefing — Saad Square (King Khalid Rd)
Group meeting point and check-in. Brief safety talk, headcount and equipment check (water, hats, appropriate footwear). Departure from Saad Square by air-conditioned vehicle.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time to complete check-in and briefing.
- Bring your photo ID and any medical notes; staff will record essentials at check-in.
- Wear closed shoes for transfers and keep a small daypack ready (water is provided).
Bin Rasheed Cave — Guided Cave Exploration
Drive to Bin Rasheed cave area and explore up to ~120 metres into the cave under guide supervision. Short spelunking sections, low ceilings in places, and opportunities to observe cave-dwelling bats in their natural habitat. The guide will manage group movement and briefing on cave etiquette and microclimate.
Tips from local experts:
- Wear sturdy, closed shoes with good grip and avoid large backpacks inside the cave.
- Bring a small headlamp or use your phone flashlight; the guide will advise where to stand for photos and safety.
- Keep voices low and avoid touching rock formations or bats—this protects both you and the cave ecosystem.
Edge of the World (Jebel Fihrayn) — Camel Ride, Hike & Sunset Dinner
Drive to the Edge of the World area. On arrival, enjoy a short camel ride (7–10 minutes) across desert terrain, then a guided hike (approx. 1 km each way; moderate footing) to the cliff-top viewpoint for sunset. For this afternoon/sunset departure, a simple desert dinner and soft drinks are provided at the rest/istiraha area after the hike. Guide-led safety and group management will be in place at exposed cliff edges.

- The cliff edge is exposed—follow your guide's instructions, stay behind barriers or guide lines, and keep a safe distance from drop-offs.
- Temperatures can drop quickly after sunset; bring a light jacket. Sunglasses and a hat are recommended earlier in the day.
- Dinner is provided only for afternoon/sunset departures—if you have dietary restrictions, bring a small snack to supplement as needed (snacks are not provided).
Return Transfer to Riyadh (Saad Square area)
Board the vehicle for the return drive to the original meeting area. Short stops for restroom breaks are made before off-road sections; note there are no public washrooms at the open desert sites.

- Expect bumpy, unpaved roads on the return—secure loose items and keep seat belts fastened where available.
- If you have a flight after the tour, inform staff before departure so return timing can be managed; the operator notes possible delays for traffic or large groups.
- There are limited restroom facilities at remote locations—use facilities provided at the pre-offroad rest stop before heading into open desert.
