Snorkeling at León Dormido (Kicker Rock)
León Dormido (Kicker Rock) is an extinct volcanic formation and a rich marine feeding and cleaning station. On this 8-hour trip you'll snorkel at León Dormido where guides will assist with equipment and point out marine life, including the possibility of hammerhead sharks and other oceanic species. Use of snorkeling equipment, lunch, towels and snacks are included.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a light long-sleeve rash guard; towels and basic gear are provided but a personal rash guard improves comfort in the water.
- If you are prone to seasickness, take motion-sickness medication about 60 minutes before departure; sea conditions can be choppy between San Cristóbal and León Dormido.
- Bring a small waterproof camera or a secure waterproof case and a small dry bag for personal items—storage on the boat is limited and items can get wet.
