A small-group (up to 6) sunset sail aboard the 35-foot sailboat Luna departing Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island. Day 1
Meet at Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island; short welcome and safety briefing followed by the sunset sailing experience aboard Luna.
Meet & Safety Briefing — Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina
Boarding and short welcome at Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina. Captain covers safety, PFD fitting, and what to expect during the sail. This meeting follows the activity's meeting-on-location policy and is included in the 2-hour booking window.

- Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to allow time for parking, check-in, and restroom use at the marina.
- Bring layered clothing and a waterproof shell — microclimates on the bay can be chilly after sunset (blankets provided onboard).
- This activity is for ages 9 and up; infants must not sit on laps and infant seats are unavailable—ensure all children meet the age requirement before booking.
Spectacular Sunset Sail Aboard Luna
Depart the marina and enjoy the 2-hour sunset sailing adventure aboard our 35-foot sailboat, Luna. The captain will share local stories, invite hands-on sailing for those who wish, and point out wildlife and waterfront sights as we sail among tall ships, mega-yachts, and military vessels. Blankets and personal flotation devices for teens and adults are provided. Food and drink are not included; light snacks and drinks may be brought aboard at guest discretion.

- Expect wildlife sightings but not guaranteed; bring a camera and binoculars for better viewing and keep a safe distance from animals.
- Wear sensible, closed shoes if you plan to help with sailing; barefoot is allowed but sensible shoes are recommended for kids during boarding and movement on deck.

What you'll do
You'll depart from Safe Harbor Sunroad Marina on Harbor Island for a 2-hour guided sunset sail aboard Luna. After a brief safety briefing, you'll help raise the sails and steer the boat while the crew teaches you to read the wind and water. Watch for sea lions, dolphins, and pelicans that often join the voyage. On clearer days, you might spot migrating whales. As the sun sets, the San Diego skyline shifts from gold to purple, and you'll wrap up with blankets on deck.
