A 5 hour adventure to look for Baja's pelagic life. Our Ocean Safari Experience in Baja explores local pelagic wildlife — from playful sea lions to humpback whales. Expert guides handle safety and equipment while you snorkel and observe marine life. Equipment (mask, snorkel, fins & wetsuit) and a burrito lunch with water are included.

Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival
Arrival time will be at 7:30am. We will meet at the operator dock to complete waivers, fit snorkeling equipment, and cover the pre-departure safety briefing.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive at 07:30 to complete waivers and equipment fitting; the meeting point is the operator dock near Calle de la Playa in San José del Cabo.
- Wear boat-friendly non-slip shoes and a swimsuit under lightweight clothing for a quick check-in and fitting.
- Bring government ID for check-in and a small dry bag for valuables; parking near the dock can fill early.
The Expedition
We depart the dock and head to open water. The guide will give a detailed briefing, then we will navigate along the coast and offshore searching for pelagic animals. When animals are located the guide will enter first and direct swimmers who wish to snorkel.
Tips from local experts:
- If you are prone to seasickness, take medication 30–60 minutes before departure — offshore conditions can be choppier than near shore.
- Use reef-safe sunscreen and keep personal cameras in waterproof housings; the guide will indicate safe entry points for snorkeling.
- Pay close attention to the crew’s safety briefing and follow instructions when entering and exiting the water; keep fins and masks fitted to your face.
Lunch
After the on-water activity we'll move closer to the coast for a relaxed lunch on board or in calm coastal waters. Lunch (burritos) and bottled water are provided.

- Lunch and water are provided on board — if you have food allergies, tell staff during check-in so they can accommodate.
- Wear a light cover-up or long-sleeved shirt when eating on deck to protect against sun and spray.
- Bring a small towel and a light jacket; the sea breeze can feel cool after exiting the water.
Return to the marina
Approximately 5 hours after departure we head back to the dock to disembark and end the activity. Crew will help with exit and personal gear.

- Expect to be back at the dock around 13:00; have your ID and personal items ready for disembarkation.
- Confirm your onward transfer or pickup location and time with staff before leaving the boat.
- Store wet gear in the provided area and confirm where to collect any rented equipment before leaving the dock.
