Itinerary
Day 1
Private half-day catamaran itinerary departing Cala Jondal. Total duration 3 hours 30 minutes.
Meet & board — Tropicana / Cala Jondal (check-in)
Arrive at the meeting point, meet your skipper and crew, quick safety briefing and board the catamaran. Stow bags in the shaded locker and settle on deck.
Tips from local experts:
- Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to relax and take a pre-departure photo on the beach chairs by Tropicana.
- Wear non-marking rubber-soled shoes or sandals for boarding; Tropicana has a small pebble beach so bring flip-flops for the walk.
- Tell the crew if you want the onboard cooler stocked with cava or soft drinks in advance — it makes the sunset moment extra special.
Sail along the southern coast — scenic cruise toward Es Vedrà
Relax as the skipper sets sail. Enjoy panoramic coastal views, cliffs and small coves while the crew plays chilled music and pours a welcome drink if requested.
Tips from local experts:
- Sit on the forward nets for unobstructed sea views — perfect for couples’ photos during golden-hour.
- Keep a light jacket handy; sea breeze is cooler than onshore even in June and it makes for cozy cuddle moments.
- Ask the skipper to steer a slightly wider route if you want a calmer, more private stretch of water away from day-boat traffic.
Secluded cove stop — snorkelling & paddle-boarding
Drop anchor in a sheltered cove for swimming, free snorkel equipment use and two paddle boards. Spend relaxed time in the water and explore marine life together.
Tips from local experts:
- Put sunscreen on before getting in the water (reef-safe recommended) — it's easier to reapply on deck than in the water.
- If one of you prefers to stay dry, bring a lightweight sarong or cover-up; crew can set up cushions in a shaded area for quiet relaxation.
- Ask the skipper for recommended photo angles — the crew often knows the clearest snorkel spots and best background light for couple shots.
Sail to Porroig — scenic approach to the red cove
Short sail to Cala Porroig / Es Torrent area. Enjoy a slow cruise watching the cliffs and private villas from the sea.
Tips from local experts:
- Sit starboard (right-hand side) for the best late-afternoon light toward Es Torrent and the west coast.
- Order the crew to slow the engines as you approach Porroig for peaceful paddle-back-in moments and to spot local seabirds.
- If you'd like a beachfront aperitivo later, note Es Torrent restaurant onshore for a post-trip dinner reservation (crew can advise docking options).
Porroig bay — paddleboarding, quiet deck time & sundowner
Use the onboard paddleboards again or relax on deck. This is a comfortable spot to share a chilled drink and a light bite while the sky begins to warm toward sunset.
Tips from local experts:
- Ask for an onboard cava or sparkling option for a private toast — pre-ordering ensures it's chilled and ready at the perfect moment.
- Crew can arrange soft blankets and cushions on deck as the sun lowers — great for an intimate picnic setup.
- Avoid heavy meals right before snorkeling; choose light tapas or fruit for on-boat dining to stay comfortable.
Golden-hour glide toward Es Vedrà — romantic photo & sunset moment
Sail closer to Es Vedrà for iconic island views. Capture photos, enjoy the golden light and a private sunset toast while anchored in a photogenic spot.
Tips from local experts:
- Request the skipper hold position with Es Vedrà in the background for 10–15 minutes — perfect for a private champagne toast.
- Bring a small portable speaker and a pre-made playlist for a personalized soundtrack during this special moment.
- If you want a dramatic silhouette shot, have one partner stand on the aft (back) deck edge while the other sits forward — crew can help with framing.
Return sail to Cala Jondal & disembark
Relax on the final short sail back to Cala Jondal. Disembark at the original meeting point. Crew will help with safe boarding and luggage.
Tips from local experts:
- Dry off and change into a light layer before disembarking; the sea breeze can feel cool after sunset.
- Tip the crew in cash if they made your private experience special — envelopes help keep it discreet.
- If you plan to continue your evening ashore, ask the crew to recommend a quiet beachfront restaurant nearby and request help with a reservation.
