Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at the operator office near the Upper Cable Car station in Fira. Guided road tour with short stops at the Three Bells Church and Imerovigli, followed by two hours of free time in Oia.
Three Bells Church
Start at one of Santorini’s most recognizable viewpoints, the Three Bells of Fira. Your guide gives a short introduction to the church, the caldera cliffs and local photography tips. A short, easy stop—perfect for photos.
Tips from local experts:
- Meet promptly at the operator office by the Upper Cable Car station so the group can depart on time.
- Wear comfortable shoes for a short, level walk to the viewpoint; the main photo area is step-free but can be uneven close to the cliff edge.
- Carry a small windproof layer—sea breezes on the caldera can be chilly even on sunny days.
Imerovigli
Continue to Imerovigli, known as the 'Balcony of the Aegean.' Visit a calm cliffside viewpoint and learn about Skaros Rock and everyday life in this quieter village.
Tips from local experts:
- Allow a short buffer for the drive from Fira—roads are narrow and scenic; sit on the left side for wider caldera views en route.
- There is limited shade at the main viewpoint—bring a hat and sunscreen for midday visits.
- If mobility is a concern, notify the guide in advance so they can position the vehicle as close as possible to the viewpoint.
Oia Village (extended free time)
Arrive in Oia for two full hours of unhurried exploration. Wander narrow alleys, visit boutique shops and artisan studios, and photograph the iconic Blue Domes and windmills. Use this time for a leisurely coffee or to find a quiet viewpoint for couples' photos.
Tips from local experts:
- For the classic blue-domes shot, head towards the Church of Panagia in the main Oia clifftop area early during your visit before crowds gather.
- Keep valuables secure in Oia’s narrow lanes; bring a small crossbody bag and use zips—the village is walkable but busy in peak season.
- Plan your return to the meeting vehicle at least 10 minutes before the scheduled end time; the guide will reconvene at the prearranged pickup point in Oia.
