Itinerary
Day 1
A slow-paced, intimate day on the sea: embark in Savelletri, cruise the Adriatic coastline with scenic stops, enjoy a relaxed lunch on board, and return mid-afternoon.
Meet & board — Porto di Savelletri
Meet at the small fishing harbour, board the Aprea 36, enjoy a welcome drink and safety briefing before departure.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in and boarding; the meeting point is at the harbour pontoon.
- Wear flat, non-slip shoes for boarding; stiletto heels are not suitable for the quay or the boat’s teak decks.
- Carry light layers (sea breeze can be cool in morning); a small bag is best — towels are provided on board.
Coastal cruise — view of Egnazia
Gentle coastal sailing with views of the archaeological area at Egnazia from the sea; the captain will narrate landmarks as you pass.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring your camera for low-angle coastal photos; the ruins are best photographed from the sea-facing side.
- If you prefer shade, choose a shaded lounger early — shaded areas are limited.
- For a quiet moment together, the bow cushions offer unobstructed views and a private spot to sit side-by-side.
Coastal cruise — Centro Storico di Monopoli (sea view)
Pass the dramatic seaside façade of Monopoli's historic centre; time to take in the white-washed buildings rising from the water.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the port-side (starboard) for the best continuous views of Monopoli as you pass.
- If you’d like an unobstructed view, avoid the shaded aft lounge during this short passage.
- Keep small valuables secured; brief walking on deck is best for photos rather than standing near railings for long periods.
Scenic approach — Polignano a Mare coastline
Slow, scenic sailing along the sculptural cliffs and sea caves near Polignano a Mare; the Isola dell’Eremita will be visible from the boat.
Tips from local experts:
- Sit on the boat’s starboard side for the clearest views of Polignano’s cliffs and caves.
- If you plan to join the swim later, apply sunscreen (boat-safe options are provided) before disembarkation into the water.
- Keep binoculars handy for spotting coastal caves and seabirds along the limestone cliffs.
Generous onboard lunch
Relaxed midday lunch served on board: a selection of three starters followed by a pasta dish, local aperitif and Apulian sparkling wine as noted in the inclusions.
Tips from local experts:
- Notify staff of any dietary needs at embarkation so the kitchen can accommodate them before service.
- Choose seating early if you prefer a table setting rather than casual lounge seating; table spots are limited.
- Enjoy the wine slowly — one bottle per four guests is provided; soft drinks are unlimited and available throughout.
Swimming, snorkeling & SUP at San Vito coves
Anchored in a quiet cove near San Vito for swimming, snorkeling and SUP (inner caves can be explored only by SUP or swim as per local regulations). Towels and snorkel gear provided.
Tips from local experts:
- Use the provided boat ladder for safe sea access; follow the crew’s guidance for entry and exit points.
- Inner sea caves are not accessible by powered boat — explore them only by SUP or swimming as noted in the activity attention.
- Secure personal items in the onboard dry storage before entering the water; consider a waterproof phone pouch for photos.
Aperitif and relaxed return cruise
Aperitif with local specialties and time to relax on deck as the boat cruises back along the coast toward Savelletri.
Tips from local experts:
- Choose a sheltered seat if you prefer to stay out of the late-afternoon breeze during the return.
- If you’d like a quieter spot, the shaded mid-boat loungers are calmer than the bow during the return leg.
- Enjoy the provided sparkling wine and local bites slowly to stay comfortable while seated on the deck.
Return & disembark — Porto di Savelletri
Arrival back to the harbour, disembarkation and farewells. The captain will assist with safe disembarkation onto the quay.
Tips from local experts:
- Have small personal items ready to hand to the crew before arrival to speed up disembarkation.
- Watch your step when stepping from the boat to the quay; surfaces can be wet — use handrails provided.
- If you need a taxi or onward transport, allow time to arrange it after disembarkation; local taxis can be found near the harbour.
