Itinerary
Day 1
Private 9-hour day. Driver picks you up at the agreed location in Seoul (default pickup 08:00). The sequence below follows the supplier’s listed stops; during the tour the driver-guide and guest will choose which stops to enter, how long to stay, and which long-distance options are feasible within the 9-hour window.
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Historic main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty — recommended as the first cultural stop while traffic is usually lighter.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive early to reduce walking on stone paths; wheelchair ramps are located at the East and West gates.
- Head to the main gate for the changing of the guard photo opportunity; seating is limited, plan 40–60 minutes to enter and walk the main areas.
- Restrooms and a small museum cafe are available inside the palace grounds for a short sit-down break.
N Seoul Tower (Namsan Seoul Tower)
Hilltop tower with city views; driver will drop you near the base or at the tower entrance depending on mobility.
Tips from local experts:
- If mobility is limited, request drop-off at the tower entrance – the cable car and some lookout areas require stairs.
- Bring a light layer; summit is often windier and slightly cooler than street level.
- Allow time for elevator access and any short queues — plan a 20–30 minute stop for views and photos.
DMZ / Imjingak (example visit)
Imjingak area at the southern edge of the Demilitarized Zone — many DMZ visits require special access and additional time; this entry represents the common DMZ/Imjingak stop listed by the supplier.
- Monday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Tips from local experts:
- Confirm DMZ access in advance if you want the formal DMZ tour (additional time and permits required) — otherwise Imjingak park and observatory are visitable as a roadside stop.
- Wear comfortable shoes for short walks around memorials and viewpoints; some areas are uneven.
- Bring photo ID; if you later request a formal DMZ entry the supplier will advise required documents and timing.
Bukchon Hanok Village
Traditional hanok neighborhood with narrow lanes and views of preserved houses — suited to a short, gentle walk.
Tips from local experts:
- Streets are narrow and can be uneven; use low-impact walking shoes and consider a shorter route if needed.
- Respect private property: many hanoks are lived in — keep noise low and follow posted signage.
- There are benches and small tea houses for short rest stops; plan 20–30 minutes for a relaxed walk-through.
Nami Island (Namiseom) — listed option
Popular riverside island known for tree-lined paths. This is a longer-distance option; if chosen expect substantial transit and ferry time.
Tips from local experts:
- Visiting Nami Island requires a short ferry crossing — if mobility is a concern plan for boarding ramps and some walking on gravel paths.
- Because this stop is farther from central Seoul, selecting it may preclude many other stops on the same day.
- Carry a hat and water in warmer months; shaded benches are available along the main promenade.
Lotte World Tower (Seoul Sky area)
Major Seoul landmark and shopping/mall/tower complex; suitable for quick exterior viewing or a brief interior stop.
Tips from local experts:
- If you prefer minimal walking, request drop-off at the tower lobby — elevators to observation decks may require queuing.
- There are accessible restrooms and elevators throughout the Lotte complex.
- Allow a short 20–30 minute window for photos or a quick look inside the mall area.
Jamsil Baseball Stadium (Exterior)
Stadium exterior view; suitable as a short photo stop when visiting the Jamsil / Lotte World area.
Tips from local experts:
- If attending a game is desired, that would require a separate booking — this schedule allows a brief exterior stop only.
- There is level access to the surrounding plaza for easy short walks and seating areas.
- Nearby restrooms and cafes inside the Lotte complex are available for quick rests.
Changdeokgung Palace
UNESCO-linked palace with an inner garden (Huwon). If you wish to enter Huwon it requires additional time and the guided Huwon slot — confirm before the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- The palace grounds have some steps and gravel paths; there is step-free access to main courtyards but Huwon includes slopes.
- If you intend to enter Huwon (Secret Garden), book the garden guided slot in advance as it runs on timed groups.
- Rest and water breaks are available at the palace cafe and visitor centre.
Seoraksan (listed option)
National park in Gangwon — listed as a supplier option but visiting Seoraksan from Seoul is a long day trip; selecting it will consume most of the 9-hour allocation.
Tips from local experts:
- Seoraksan is a long-distance option from Seoul; confirm with the driver before selecting as it requires extended driving time.
- If mobility is limited, choose lower-elevation areas and cable-car access where available rather than steep trails.
- Carry sunscreen, water and a light snack if you plan to step out for short viewpoints.
Hongdae street (Hongik University area)
Youthful shopping and street-culture area — an easy short stop for cafés and pedestrian streets.
Tips from local experts:
- Streets can be busy; for less walking ask to be dropped at a nearby cafe with outdoor seating.
- Many cafes and restaurants offer step-free access; ask the guide for quieter spots if you prefer a calm break.
- Allow time for a restroom stop and a short walk along the pedestrian streets (15–25 minutes).
Everland (listed option)
Major theme park outside Seoul — included in the supplier’s list of possible places but is a full-day destination; if chosen expect long transit and limited time on-site within 9 hours.
Tips from local experts:
- Everland is a long-distance option; choosing it typically replaces multiple central Seoul stops due to travel time.
- If you have mobility concerns, request maps for accessible routes and use park shuttle services where provided.
- Snacks and drinks are available throughout the park; plan restroom and rest stops before entering.
Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)
Modern architecture and design complex — a short exterior/interior visit works well near market and shopping areas.
Tips from local experts:
- There is step-free access to the main plaza and an indoor design museum area with elevators.
- If you need seating, the plaza and interior corridors have benches and coffee outlets for short rests.
- Allow 15–25 minutes for photos and a quick look inside the exhibition spaces.
Gamaksan Suspension Bridge (listed option)
Suspension-bridge viewpoint in northern Gyeonggi; listed by the supplier as an example stop outside Seoul.
Tips from local experts:
- This is a regional stop that may require extra driving time; check feasibility with the driver if chosen.
- Paths at viewpoints can be uneven—use care when moving around the bridge entrances.
- Plan for a short stop (10–20 minutes) for photos and to enjoy the view.

Why this experience
You have nine hours and a private car waiting at your hotel door. Your driver speaks enough English to point out landmarks and navigate your requests; your itinerary is entirely yours. Maybe you want Gyeongbokgung Palace and its afternoon light, then a neighborhood you've read about, then that restaurant your friend mentioned. Or maybe you decide at breakfast that you'd rather see what's north instead of south. A private driver removes the translation puzzle, the metro navigation, the constant map-checking—you're free to move like someone who belongs here, not someone following a pre-set route. Nine hours is enough to see a city's real texture.
