Itinerary
Day 1
2-hour guided RIB adventure in Seyðisfjörður. Meet at the listed meeting point for check-in and a short walk to the boarding area, then a guided RIB exploration of cliffs, caves and wildlife.
Look at Dvergasteinn (Víðistaðatún) & check-in with guides
Meet the Viking brothers at the meeting point for a brief introduction, safety briefing and a short look toward the famous Dvergasteinn (as noted in the agenda). Guides confirm gear and suit participants before boarding the RIB.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in at the designated meeting point (Hafnargata 12) so the group can depart on time.
- Wear a warm base layer and sensible shoes—you will change into the provided dry suit and life jacket before boarding.
- Keep small personal items in a sealed pouch or leave them at the meeting point; pockets and loose items can be lost on a RIB.
RIB ride: caves, Skálanes cliffs and wildlife watching
Glide through Seyðisfjörður aboard a rigid inflatable boat. The guides will attempt short entries into sea caves, pass beneath the Skálanes cliffs, point out waterfalls and wildlife, and stop briefly for photo opportunities and quiet wildlife observation.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a waterproof camera or phone in a waterproof case and secure it with a strap; expect spray and sudden turns on the RIB.
- Use the provided dry suit and keep zippers and seals closed; the suit provides insulation—bring a hat and gloves for extra warmth.
- Follow crew instructions for positioning and movement on the boat; remain seated when asked and keep hands inside the boat to avoid injury.
