Itinerary
Day 1
Meet at hotel — check-in and briefing
Meet the guide and group at the hotel reception. Final paperwork, safety briefing overview and staff will distribute scarves/helmets if needed.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early; bring a copy of your booking confirmation and ID.
- Wear comfortable closed shoes and long trousers suitable for riding a quad.
- Keep phone and camera ready but secure; staff will help with storage during the ride if needed.
Transfer to quad-bike area (by vehicle)
Short transfer from the meeting hotel to the quad bike start area at the desert edge. Time includes loading guests and vehicles.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect dust inside the transfer vehicle; bring a lightweight scarf or mask if you’re sensitive.
- Seats are shared — store loose items in a small bag to keep them secure.
- Carry a light jacket; desert evenings cool quickly after sunset.
Quad-bike briefing, test and start of desert ride
Safety briefing, helmet and scarf fitting, short practice run for first-time riders, then begin the guided quad ride across desert tracks toward the echo photo point.
Tips from local experts:
- If you intend to drive, bring a valid driving licence as operators may request ID.
- Keep both hands on the handlebars and follow the guide’s speed instructions.
- Secure loose clothing and remove dangling jewelry to avoid entanglement.
Echo stop & photos
Short stop at a scenic desert formation to test the echo, take photos and rest briefly before continuing to the Bedouin area.
Tips from local experts:
- Use this short stop to hydrate and take photos before dust accumulates on lenses.
- Take care stepping on soft sand and uneven surfaces; wear closed shoes.
- Ask the guide for a suggested camera angle to capture the echo effect.
Continue quad ride to Bedouin tent
Drive the quad for a short leg toward the local Bedouin camp where the group will rest and enjoy herbal tea.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep water with you; you may be offered additional drinks at the camp but those can be extra.
- Follow the guide’s path; wandering off-trail is not permitted for safety and conservation.
- If you feel uncomfortable driving at any time, tell the guide — staff can arrange a passenger swap.
Rest at Bedouin tent — herbal tea
Short rest in a small tent with traditional herbal tea. Time to relax while staff prepare camels and the larger dinner tent.
Tips from local experts:
- Inform staff of any allergies; herbal tea is typical but other soft drinks may be available at extra charge.
- Use this break to reapply sunscreen before evening if needed.
- Restroom facilities are basic; plan accordingly before continuing the ride.
Camel ride (approx. 20 minutes)
Short guided camel ride around the camp area assisted by local handlers — a gentle, traditional desert experience.
Tips from local experts:
- Mounting and dismounting assistance is provided; follow handlers’ instructions for safety.
- Wear long trousers and closed shoes to protect legs while riding.
- If you get motion-sensitive, sit toward the middle of the camel and keep movements slow and steady.
Quad transfer to main tent for dinner and show
Short ride to the larger communal tent where dinner and the live show will take place.
Tips from local experts:
- If you’d like to try shisha during the show, ask staff — shisha is available at extra charge.
- Set any cameras to low-light mode before entering the tent; lighting is atmospheric during performances.
- Keep valuables with you; tent areas are monitored but it's best to keep personal items secure.
Traditional Bedouin dinner with live show
Seated dinner served in the main tent. Soft drinks are included during dinner; enjoy local music and performance from the hosts.
Tips from local experts:
- Soft drinks are included with dinner; if you have dietary restrictions, inform staff before serving starts.
- Dinner is served family-style; request alternatives early if needed due to allergies or preferences.
- Keep a small flashlight or use your phone for moving around the tent after dark.
Guided stargazing and telescope viewing
After the show, the guide leads the group away from camp lights to point out Orion’s Belt, Polaris, Ursa Major/Minor and other night-sky features, then guests look through a telescope.
Tips from local experts:
- Bring a jacket — desert nights get cool and wind can make it feel colder.
- Turn off phone flash and use night mode for photos; telescopes show more detail when eyes are dark-adapted.
- Listen to the guide for constellation locations; avoid bright screens to preserve night vision.
Return quad to station and short vehicle transfer back to hotel
Drive quads back to the quad station, return equipment, then transfer by vehicle back to the meeting hotel where the tour ends.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep any personal belongings gathered before leaving the tent; check vehicles before disembarking.
- Allow staff to assist with packing gear into the transfer vehicle to avoid dust and sand in your luggage.
- Confirm exact drop-off location at the hotel with your guide before the transfer departs.
