Make Japanese traditional sweets "Nerikiri" and make matcha

09:00 – 10:30 • 1h 30m

Create four nerikiri sweets (three made together with the host; one is your original design) using white bean paste and rice flour. After the confectionery lesson, prepare matcha together and enjoy it with a selection of traditional sweets from different regions of Japan. Small-group, table-style tea ceremony format.

Omotesando, Shibuya City, Tokyo 150-0001, Japan

Tips from local experts:

  • Arrive at the meeting point (CHUMS Omotesando) 10 minutes before the scheduled start to check in—this allows a calm handover to the host and a short walk to the home (class begins promptly).
  • Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little flour or paste on; aprons are typically provided but light stains can happen during hands-on shaping.
  • This location is not wheelchair accessible and infants must not sit on laps; if you’re bringing children, plan for supervision and use the nearby Omotesando Station restrooms before the session.
