Itinerary
Day 1
Morning meeting and 2-hour beginner manga workshop at MANGA DOJO TOKYO. Designed for families and children; arrive early to find the entrance and settle in.
Meet at MANGA DOJO TOKYO (arrival & check‑in)
Please arrive on-site before the class start time so staff can check you in and you can store coats/bags if needed. The studio is in a brown building with an anime collaboration café (Amo cafe) on the 1st floor; take the yellow elevator to the 6th floor and go to Room 602.
Tips from local experts:
- Aim to arrive 10–15 minutes early; the studio is about a 7-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station East Exit.
- Look for the brown Sansho Building with an 'Amo cafe' on the ground floor; the entrance is on the left side of the building.
- Use the yellow elevator after entering and take it to the 6th floor; the workshop is in Room 602 (staff will direct you).
Beginner Manga Drawing Workshop (2 hours)
A 2-hour hands-on class led by a professional manga artist with an English interpreter. Participants learn basic character drawing and simple manga techniques using professional equipment. Suitable for children (junior high and younger) and families; follow the instructor step-by-step to design characters and try simple panels.

- This session uses professional tools (G-pen, ink, manga paper); sleeves or an apron can help protect clothing—consider bringing a change for younger children.
- The workshop provides bottled-water is not included; bring a refillable bottle if your child needs frequent drinks or breaks.
- Choose the Beginner course if attending with younger children; staff recommend the level for junior high and younger to ensure content and pacing are appropriate.
