Itinerary

Day 1

Evening adults-only yacht cruise leaving from X Port Marina, Dock B. Expect boarding 15 minutes before scheduled departure for a brief safety talk and welcome drink service. The boat will cruise False Creek, pass Granville Island, skirt Stanley Park, go under Lions Gate Bridge, follow the West Vancouver shoreline, then cross Burrard Inlet with downtown views before returning to the marina.

Meet & Board — X Port Marina (Dock B)

19:15 – 19:30 • 15m

Arrive at X Port Marina, Dock B for check-in and boarding. Crew will run a short safety briefing and confirm IDs for the included alcoholic drink (19+).

Tips from local experts:

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to check in and store small bags — the boat departs promptly.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID if you plan to consume the included alcoholic beverage (legal drinking age 19+ in BC).
  • Wear flat-soled shoes and a light layer; evening winds on the inlet can be cooler than on land.

Cruise: False Creek

19:30 – 19:42 • 12m

We start and end our tour cruising through False Creek which is lined with marinas, restaurants and the famous Seawall.

False Creek, Vancouver, BC, Canada
4.7 (236 reviews)

Tips from local experts:

  • For best skyline photos of False Creek, stand on the boat's starboard (right) side as we head out of the marina.
  • Keep small personal items in a secure bag—False Creek can be breezy and items left on seats can blow away.
  • If you prefer a quieter spot, the forward rail offers panoramic views with fewer people compared to the aft seating.

Pass Granville Island

19:42 – 19:56 • 14m

We pass by the bustling Granville Island which features a large food market, restaurants, a marina, a theatre and shops.

  • If you want to explore Granville Island after the cruise, note public transit options from the nearby False Creek ferry docks.

Pass Stanley Park & Seawall

19:56 – 20:16 • 20m

We pass by Stanley Park, the largest urban park in North America. We'll see Second and Third Beaches and the busy Seawall with many cyclists and walkers.

  • For dramatic shots of the bridge structure, move to the port (left) side as we approach the underpass.
  • The boat will slow for a moment under the bridge—use that pause to take photos or listen to the guide's commentary.
  • If you prefer less crowded viewing, the cabin interior offers covered seating with good sightlines during the pass.

West Vancouver shoreline

20:34 – 21:00 • 26m

We'll go back under the Lions Gate bridge and hug the north shore coast where you'll see the incredible waterfront mansions in West Vancouver.

West Vancouver, BC, Canada

Tips from local experts:

  • Starboard side views favor the grand waterfront homes and coastline of West Vancouver—move early to secure a spot.
  • Evening sun in July often lights the west-facing facades; keep sunglasses handy for glare on the water.
  • This stretch can be calm—if you’re prone to motion sickness, wait to sit in the middle of the boat where movement is minimized.

Cross Burrard Inlet — Downtown view & wildlife watch

21:00 – 21:30 • 30m

We'll cross back over the Burrard Inlet towards False Creek and on your left will be the best view of downtown Vancouver. As we cross there are sometimes porpoises and whales nearby.

Burrard Inlet, Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada
4.6 (181 reviews)

Tips from local experts:

  • Position yourself on the left (port) side for the best downtown Vancouver skyline photos during the inlet crossing.
  • Scan the water slowly—marine mammals are occasional and brief; the guide will point them out if spotted.
  • Keep your camera ready and use a steadying strap—low light in the evening needs steady framing for wildlife shots.

Why this experience

You're standing on the deck of an intimate yacht, watching golden light spill across False Creek as the city skyline glows behind you. The evening air is crisp—cool enough for a jacket, warm enough to linger outside—and you've got a drink in hand and someone special beside you. These are the kinds of moments that feel stolen from ordinary life: intimate, unhurried, just the two of you among a handful of other guests.

A guide from Vancity Cruises navigates past Granville Island's market stalls and under the Lions Gate Bridge, pointing out hidden waterfront corners of Vancouver most people never see. You'll drift past West Vancouver's pristine shoreline, cross into Burrard Inlet where seals sometimes surface, and watch the Stanley Park seawall light up as dusk settles. The experience is designed to feel effortless—all the planning is done, the route is curated, and you're free to just be present. This is why an evening cruise makes sense: it takes the logistics out of romance and leaves only the moment.

Before you go

  • Best time: Year-round, though warm summer evenings (June-August) offer the most comfortable deck time. Early autumn (September-October) brings clearer skies and fewer crowds. Winter (December-February) is quieter but dress warmly; spring (March-May) is mild and uncrowded.
  • Budget: Check the booking widget for current pricing. Does not include additional drinks beyond the complimentary glass; meals and gratuity are optional.
  • Difficulty: Easy — minimal walking, plenty of seating, no physical exertion required.
  • What to bring: Light jacket or sweater (it's cooler on the water), sunscreen for summer, camera for sunset photos. Comfortable shoes for boarding.
  • Getting there: Meet at X Port Marina Dock B. If arriving by car, street parking is available nearby; if by transit, the Canada Line (Yaletown-Roundhouse Station) is a 10-minute walk.
  • Accessibility: The yacht has stairs to board but limited space for mobility aids. Contact the operator directly before booking if you have mobility concerns.
