Itinerary
Day 1
Morning or afternoon guided kayak crossing from Vodice to Prvić Šepurine, including a guided walking tour on the island and time for a swim before returning to Vodice.
Meet, check-in and safety briefing
Meet at the operator meeting point in Vodice. Check-in, sign safety waiver, receive life jackets and paddles. Short safety briefing, basic paddling technique and route overview. Coffee and/or tea available.
Tips from local experts:
- Arrive 10 minutes early to complete check-in paperwork — the meeting point is on the waterfront street Ul. Blata.
- Bring a small dry bag for phone, sunscreen and a spare T‑shirt; the guide will store larger bags onshore.
- Inform the guide of any medical conditions or if you’re traveling with a non-swimmer or very young child.
Guided kayak paddle to Prvić
Launch from the Vodice waterfront and paddle as a guided group toward Prvić Šepurine. The guide sets a family-friendly pace with short on-water stops for photos and a possible quick swim if conditions allow.
Tips from local experts:
- Keep life jackets fastened at all times while on the water; children must wear properly fitted jackets provided by the operator.
- Sit near the center of the tandem kayak if traveling with a child so the guide can assist with balance and steering.
- Protect electronics in a waterproof sleeve and leave valuables locked onshore at the meeting point.
Walking tour on Prvić (Šepurine & Prvić Luka)
Guided walk through Prvić’s stone streets, visiting the fishing harbour, the medieval bell tower and the Vrančić family summer residence area. Time included to explore both Šepurine and Prvić Luka along the 1 km promenade and for a supervised swim or short rest.
Tips from local experts:
- Prvić is car-free with uneven stone streets (kale); wear closed shoes and keep an eye on little ones — strollers are not suitable.
- Bring a hat and sunscreen; shady areas are limited between the villages in July.
- Follow the guide’s route to protect natural areas and remain together — the island’s narrow streets are easy to get separated on.
Paddle back to Vodice and wrap-up
Return paddle to the Vodice waterfront at a relaxed family pace. On arrival, return equipment, debrief with the guide and finish the tour.
Tips from local experts:
- Expect some light fatigue on the return leg; communicate with the guide if you need extra short rests during the paddle.
- Rinse off saltwater at the meeting point rinse station if available and retrieve any belongings left onshore.
- If traveling with children, plan a calm, shaded spot for snacks and rest immediately after the tour — many cafes are a short walk from the meeting point.
