Hibo Reef & Surrounds — 2 Dive Exploration
This two-dive outing explores deeper, less-visited walls on the fringes of the Verde Island Passage—dives shaped by current, depth, and open-ocean exposure rather than easy profiles. Hibo Reef sits offshore as a submerged reef “mountain,” with coral-covered upper slopes giving way to sheer walls dropping into deep blue. Conditions can be lively at the surface, but along the wall the water often settles, attracting reef whitetips, schooling mackerel, barracuda, tuna, and the occasional eagle ray. Remote and rarely dived, it offers big scenery and a strong sense of open ocean. Minolo Stairs is a more technical, layered site. The dive begins with an immediate blue-water descent to reach the reef, landing deep on a sequence of descending ledges and vertical walls separated by sandy breaks. The staircase-like profile creates a pronounced sense of depth and scale, with schools of snappers, fusiliers, surgeonfish, and batfish dominating the scene. On current days, trevally, jacks, turtles, and passing pelagics patrol the blue. Who it's for: Advanced divers looking for depth, exposure, and dives that feel earned—not manufactured. Fewer boats, bigger scenery, and the kind of sites you don’t find on standard itineraries. Please note:- Not recommended for beginners or those uncomfortable with currents, negative entry, or deeper dives.- Our trips are only available during a 1 week window between full moon and new moon, when the currents are most diveable ——————————TIERED PRICINGOur pricing is tiered — the more divers per booking, the lower the cost per person (max 6). Bring friends or make up a group. LOW DIVER / GUIDE RATIODesigned for small groups with a low diver-to-guide ratio (max 3 divers per guide), these adventures promote a gentler impact on the aquatic ecosystem with each dive. They offer an enriching personal journey for scuba divers and the opportunity for intimate wildlife experiences that are impossible with larger groups. FULLY EQUIPPEDOur safaris are fully equipped with premium dive gear, from premium Xdeep BC systems to a selection of Mares and Suunto equipment. HOSPITALITYWe believe that exceptional hospitality is integral to any regenerative experience. From warm face cloths to wipe away the salt to hooded poncho towels for staying dry and comfortable, every detail is designed with your comfort in mind. Our trips are fully catered with non alcoholic drinks, snacks, and lunch to satisfy post-dive hunger. CARBON NEUTRALReaching those off-the-beaten-track dive sites requires a little extra effort, and we recognise that traveling to places with few or no other divers uses more fuel than visiting dive sites closer to home. We offset the carbon emissions generated by our fuel usage, by partnering with Tree Nation to plant trees for each journey.
