Take a beautiful lookout over Sea Lapland at Kivalot viewtower to Martimoaapa marshes and surrounding nature and villages. Have the sausages and sign the guestbook at the Kivalot wilderness hut.After conquering the top of Kivalot you may also visit the Jägercabin hideout from 1st World War when returning back to the car. The trek consists of total 3 – 4 km walking on nature path. Kemi-Tornio: Resurrecting Rungius with Pick-Up
We pick you up from Kemi and Haparanda-Tornio hotels, stations etc. to visit the Nicolaus Rungius in his home church in Keminmaa. Rungius was vicar priest in Kemi village at 16th century. He died in 1629 and never rottened. Rungius can be seen during summer in his open coffin in the old St. Michael’s Church in Keminmaa. On the same trip we can also visit the top of Sea Lapland, the viewtower of Kalli outdoor area to see the landscapes of Kemi-Tornio area. After visiting the tower we drive you back.
