You won't believe you are still officially in Tirana on this day trip! We're going to show you forgotten villages and incredible views, and all just a few kilometres from the city! You'll get to drive the legendary Suzuki Jimny on sometimes challenging dirt trails. These amazing little cars are very simple to drive, with an automatic transmission. You don't need any previous experience of driving off road to enjoy the day. Our route will take us through the beautiful and little-known Tirana Valleys. This area is rarely visited by tourists due to the difficulties of getting around (there are few asphalt roads). You can expect incredible scenery and forgotten villages. This is a long but rewarding day, with a 09.00 pick-up from Mother Teresa Square (to avoid getting caught in Tirana's notorious congestion!). We'll aim to get you back around 17.00, but sometimes the trip runs a little late due to traffic.
Explore rural Tirana County on a private Jeep safari. Your driver/guide will show you a side of Tirana few get to see. Expect forgotten villages and incredible nature, and all just a few kilometres from the capital.We have several different routes - the one we choose will depend on the season, and the weather. In summertime, the Tirana Highlands are preferable due to the cooler temperatures. In winter, we stick to the low-lying Tirana Valleys. We will give options for lunch, depending on the route. It's perfectly possible to bring your own food, but there are excellent rural restaurants and simple village cafés, too. Our cars are 2024 model Suzuki Jimny 4x4s. These are small vehicles - so suitable for just two passengers in addition to the driver. The rear is bench seats is cramped, but OK for a day trip for one person (we think).
Unlike most 4x4 day trips, on this one you actually get to drive! The Suzuki Jimny is an amazing little off-roader, and we're confident that any competent driver will have no difficulty. Our cars are automatic, so very easy to drive, and also have good underbody protection so you're unlikely to do any damage even if you scrape a rock! As well as the fun of driving, you'll get to see a part of Tirana that few have seen up close - the protected area of Mali me Gropa (the "Mountain With Holes").
