Fort Charlotte is a British-colonial era fort, built on a hill overlooking the harbour and enjoys a panoramic view of the Leeward side of the island, including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia and also the famous island Mustique.We will then make our way to the Botanical Gardens which is one of the oldest in the Western Hemisphere and perhaps the oldest in the tropical world. As we drive through you will be shown and given information about some of the most historical buildings as well as our Cenotaph.Then we will journey on to Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte is a British-colonial era fort, built on a hill overlooking the harbour and enjoys a panoramic view of the Leeward side of the island, including Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia and also the famous island Mustique.Continuing our journey we will be driving through two fishing villages, Layou and Barrouallie. Here we will be making quick stops for photos.Our Next stop will be the Wallilabou Bay - the film set of the movie, The Pirates of the Caribbean. Wallilabou bay was called Port Royal where the opening scenes of the first movie of The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of The Black Pearl were filmed. It is one of the most visited site for cruise ship passengers.Just a stone throw away is Wallilabou Falls which will be our next stop. It is a small waterfall. Large Samaan trees cover the pool and its adjacent areas, creating a relatively cool micro-climate for the core area of the park. These and other plants create a habitat for several species of birds.Then on to our Final site is on the windward side of St. Vincent and will be the beautiful picturesque Villa beach.It also has an amazing view of the Young Island Resort where Johnny Depp and some of his crew members stayed while they were filming The Pirates of the Caribbean. Villa beach also has nice bars and restaurants and good toilet facilities. We will stay here until we are ready to make our way back to the ship.

Dark View Falls are two spectacular waterfalls, one above the other, cascading down high cliff faces and plunging into natural pools. The waterfalls flow all year from a tributary of the Richmond River on the Leeward section of the island, with an elevation of 110 feet and 229 feet above sea level respectively. There is a short and easy hike from the parking area to the falls through the rainforest. You will cross the Richmond River via either a bamboo bridge or a conventional bridge.After crossing the river you will be passing through a clearing in the middle of a pretty bamboo grove before reaching the first tall waterfall. At the falls there are gazebos, a change room, a picnic area and a viewing platform, as well as the bathing pools.Another short, but more difficult walk will take you up to the second waterfall, directly above the first.

THE OWIA SALT POND TOUR
We will be making our way towards the windward side of the island. Our 1st stop would be at Arnos Vale where you will get to see the E.T Joshua airport (our old airport) and The Arnos Vale playing field (our stadium) where all the cricket matches are played – West Indies vs The rest of the world.
Carrying on our journey on the windward highway. This side of the island is the most developed side of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where the majority of the hotel, bars and white sand beaches are.
Our next quick photo stop will be at villa where you will get the see the beautiful Young Island. Young Island is where Johnny Depp and some of his cast mates stayed while they were filming the movie, The Pirates of the Caribbean.
Our next stop would be the Black point tunnel also known as Jasper Rock Tunnel, it was constructed by the British around 1815 using slave labour and is one of the most popular recreational and historic sites on the windward coast. Black Point itself was also used as a film location for the movie The Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl.
We will then be driving through Georgetown where we will be making our last quick stop at the Rabacca dry river for photos. Continuing on to Owia Salt Pond, we will be driving through Sandy bay. The settlements around Sandy Bay are where descendants of St Vincent’s Carib population have traditionally lived. Beyond Sandy Bay and Point Village is Owia Bay. On the northern tip of this very pretty cove is Owia Salt Pond.

VERMONT NATURE TRAIL AND BIRD WATCHING TOUR
We will take you through our capital city Kingstown. As we drive through you will be shown and given information about some of the most historical buildings as well as our Cenotaph.
Then we will journey on to the Vermont Nature Trail. The trail starts near the top of Buccament Valley and leads through tropical rain forest with an amazing variety of tropical flora, ending up with beautiful scenery where there is a chance of seeing or hearing the St. Vincent Parrot, the Amarzona Guildingii in its natural habitat and the Whistling Warbler both unique to St Vincent and strictly protected nationally and internationally.
On our way back to Kingstown, we will be making a stop at the beautiful Table Rock, as well as the water catchment in Vermont which supplies most of the leeward side of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Kingstown with water.

HIKE TO THE LA SOUFRIERE VOLCANO
A tour to La Soufriere takes you along the picturesque windward (eastern) coast of the island. After reaching the volcano there is a possible you might be able to climb down into the inside to get a closer look at the beautiful steaming doom. The “on top of the world feeling” and its marvelous view makes this site one not to pass by.
There are gazebos. washrooms, a site office and parking at Bamboo Range on the eastern trail.
