The armor on display is authentic, handcrafted by Japanese artisans, and has been used in actual films (not antiques, but beautiful, clean, and newly made pieces). We offer over 20 sets of armor, including replicas of historical warlords and original SHOGUN STUDIO designs, with around 10 sets on display at any given time. The lineup changes monthly, so you can enjoy discovering different armor each time you visit. Enjoy a 90-minute outdoor sightseeing tour of Arashiyama while wearing authentic samurai armor. There are a few simple rules to follow, but as long as you do, you’ll have a fun and unforgettable experience! Arashiyama offers many scenic spots such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the Bamboo Grove. We will film at a battlefield-style location. Before shooting, we will carefully teach you how to handle the swords and how the filming process works, so please feel at ease. You can divide into teams with your friends or family and start filming your own samurai action movie! Solo participants are also very welcome. Our staff will play the enemy role and perform dramatic “getting cut down” scenes for you (lol). Filming time is approximately one hour. You will use swords, bows, and other weapons for an authentic shooting experience. It’s something you rarely get to try, so we’re sure you’ll have a great time! Your footage will be edited into a short movie of about two minutes and delivered to you. Our studio is the only place in Japan where you can wear samurai armor and film your own samurai movie at a battlefield location.
