Muir Woods Small-Group Tour from San Francisco
Muir Woods made simple: meet our small van at Fisherman's Wharf, cross the Golden Gate Bridge while your driver-guide tells the story of the bridge and the redwoods, and spend 90 minutes among the old-growth trees of Muir Woods National Monument.You get a guaranteed 90 minutes inside the park. The National Park Service does not allow guided groups on the trails, so before you walk in, your driver-guide shows you the three trail loops on the map (an easy 30-minute stroll, the favorite 1-hour loop, or a 90-minute walk) and you explore at your own pace. Our free app carries the full narration in 16 languages, so you can listen in your own language on the drive and in the forest.End the trip your way. Stay aboard for the ride back to Fisherman's Wharf, or choose to be dropped off in Sausalito and explore the waterfront on your own time. From Sausalito you make your own way back: the Golden Gate Ferry runs to the San Francisco Ferry Building ($14 one way, $9.50 with Clipper), or you can take a rideshare. On the seasonal 4:00 PM departure, plan on a rideshare from Sausalito.Muir Woods charges a $15 entrance fee for visitors 16 and older. It is not included in the tour price, and you pay the park directly. Kids under 16 and National Parks pass holders enter free.Total round trip: about 3 hours.
