Diamond circle, waterfalls and amazing landscapes
Visit Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss Waterfall, Ásbyrgi Canyon and HúsavíkFirst stop is by Goðafoss Waterfall and from there to Lake Mývatn area and stop at Hverir, boiling mud pits, by Mt. Námafjall. That area is considered by many the most beautiful and at the same time the most catastrophic place in Iceland. We will take a short stop in Víti crater near Krafla Volcano.Next stop is by Dettifoss Waterfall, which stands at 45m high and 100m wide, where a mass of water, mud and sand rumbles into Iceland’s most impressive canyon. After Dettifoss we travel alongside the Jökulsárgljúfur glacial canyon to Vesturdalur valley and to Hljóðaklettar, the echoing cliffs. They are world known for their basalt columns that characterize the ancient crater remains.Next we come down to the imposing horseshoe-shaped canyon Ásbyrgi, surrounded by precipitous cliffs. This place is known to be the meeting place of the pagan Gods.We then take our time to stop at a café when we drive through Húsavík village on our way back to Akureyri.

Private - Northern lights from Akureyri – Hunting in the north
Leave behind the bright city lights and immerse yourself in the untouched beauty of North Iceland as we venture just outside Akureyri in search of the mesmerizing Northern Lights. This winter holds great promise for spectacular aurora displays, and few places offer a better vantage point than the serene landscapes of the north, where the dark skies provide the perfect backdrop for this natural wonder. Each evening, our expert guides carefully select the best location for the night’s excursion, using their knowledge of weather patterns and aurora activity to find the clearest skies and most favorable conditions for viewing. Whether we travel to a quiet fjord, a remote mountainside, or an open valley, the goal remains the same—to provide you with the best possible chance to witness the magic of the Northern Lights dancing across the sky. However, it’s important to remember that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and while we do everything in our power to increase the likelihood of a sighting, we cannot guarantee that they will appear. Even so, the journey itself, surrounded by Iceland’s breathtaking winter landscapes, makes for an unforgettable experience.
