Jim's Tour from Vilnius to Trakai and Hill of Angels
Come on a historical and musical bus journey to Trakai, covering Lithuania's rich history of Teutonic Knights, a union with Poland, basketball, the Soviet Union and much more! I want you to understand the key events and periods that have shaped the modern identity of Lithuania, the beloved country I now call home with my wife and son.On the journey, you will drive through the Soviet-era blocks as well as the UNESCO heritage site Old Town of Vilnius.Whilst in Trakai (2.5–3 hrs) you can come visit a restaurant with me to sample some Lithuanian classics with time for the castle before (€10) or feel free to explore the town at your own pace.On the return, we will briefly stop by the Hill of Angels, built in 2009 as a site for promoting devotion and to celebrate the 1000-year anniversary of the first mention of Lithuania.This is kid-friendly; we are only on the bus for 1 hour out and 1 hour back.
